Hi all,

I've got a problem at the moment with two Mac Office 2011 users - one a delegate of the other.

The delegate creates a meeting request in their calendar, inviting the other user. They then go into the other user's calendar and accept the invite.

In their version of the other user's calendar, the invite accepts and looks fine. If they open the appointment, it says words to the effect 'You accepted this invite at..."

On the other user's mac in their calendar, the invite shows up initially with a dotted line outline and time shown as tentative. Once accepted, the time changes to busy, but the dotted outline remains and the whole invite is greyed out. To this user, it looks like the invite hasn't been accepted, even though their delegate has done so.

This means we've got some conflicting information going on which seems impossible since their both looking at the same calender? Delegate has the appointment accepted, saying as such, but the main user only ever sees it as tentative. Which obviously causes some confusion if they're not sure if they're supposed to be in a meeting or not...

If this user then accepts the meeting themselves, it accepts properly, goes solid colour, the dotted line becomes solid also, and they see the invite as accepted. But obviously the point of delegate access is to do away with the need to manage your own calendar.

Oddly, considering the users involved, this calendar isn't shared to an iPhone or accessed elsewhere, so there's no syncing issue there getting in the way.

So why isn't this working as expected?

-- The delegate is set up for full access in the delegates options on the main user's Outlook.
-- The delegate has Full Access and Send As Access configured on Exchange.
-- They have no problem adding, deleting or altering calendar appointments aside from this. There are no errors thrown at any point.

We've tried:

-- Various combinations of delegate access and exchange access to see if one set is conflicting with the other. No change.

-- Database/Identity rebuild for the main user. No change.-- Setting option in OWA to stop invites automatically appearing as tentative. No change.

-- Allowing plenty of time for syncing in case the delegate is causing a problem by accepting too fast.

-- Lots of making sure we're in the correct calendars etc.

I guess this is fairly easily worked around, but annoying it doesn't work as they would like it to. Would just like to get to the bottom of it now!

Thanks in advance for any thoughts, ideas, comments or solutions.

I run Mac Outlook 2011 on Mac OSX 10.9.1 (but also on 10.8.5 has this same issue).  How do I select multiple calendar appointments to copy/paste multiple appointments into the same calendar but on a different day/week?  No combination of Shift/Fn/Ctrl/Cmd/Opt + click will not allow me to highlight multiple appointments.  I know I can copy/paste a single appointment using Alt + Drag-n-drop to a new time, but I need to do this for multiple appointments to fill out my whole week.

This is so simple to do on a Windows Outlook install :(

I clicked on an advertisement from Microsoft to add my Calendar View to my Live Mail Screen view so I could see my calendar without having to open it.  After clicking the link, my Calendar Screen is now blank.  I still receive Notifications of my Calendar Appointments in my email, but I cannot view my Calendar.

I use Windows 7 Professional and followed a prior recommendation to "Repair All Windows Essentials Programs."  Unfortunately, this did not work.  Please advise the correction needed to view my Calendar.  Thanks.

Hi, guys, i just got rid of my iphone and got a blackberry z30, upon adding my outlook.com calendar and contacts and email to it, I noticed that even thou all my time zones everywhere and on all devices say -6 saskatchewan my calendar appointments say that they were created in -10 hawaii time zone.  This only happens if I create the time zone in outlook on my pc or on outlook.com.  I have my account time zone and my calendar time zone to saskatchewan.  I also double checked my phone as well.  I exported all my calendars to google and synced them to my phone to see if its a blackberry issue, but google calendars are all correct times and no warnings about time zones.  Im very confused and not sure if I pay for a exchange account if this issue would disappear, but I do enjoy the free outlook.com just cant have wrong time zones when syncing.

I have the same problem. Last Saturday I lost all my Calendar appointments because of some changes that Hotmail or outlook made. Microsoft that is. There was no warning about changes coming so that I could have moved my appointment's to another area. This has cost me for missing some appointments for Doctors and other meetings. Then on Monday I lost many of my contacts from my Cell phone that has been on it for many years. Some cell phone contacts were completely removed and others were made only w Face time showing in its place. No number is left for texting. I am very upset with the changes that has caused me to lost phone numbers and contact information from my cell Iphone... Looking to remove everything that has Mircosoft attached to it..

I downloaded and set up Outlook 365 on my Windows computer, put my calendar appointments into the calendar and then logged into Outlook.com and ....nothing. I don't understand??
This morning when I opened my Calendar all my appointments have disappeared.   When I turned off the computer last night there was an Windows update installing.  It related to Security Essentials.  This is the only change from yesterday when I could see all my calendar appointments.
My logon for Outlook.com is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and my alias is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Please help - this will be embarrassing trying to reconstruct my calendar!   The Calendar does not appear on my Smartphone either although I did not use that at all yesterday.

Some calendar appointments (those received from a POP email address different from my live.com account) register correctly in Outlook 2013 (on Windows 8.1 Pro) but do not sync to my Outlook.com Calendar. Calendar entries made manually on Outlook 2013 calendar sync correctly, as do any accepted meeting requests received directly to my live.com email account (although meeting requests forwarded to my live.com address from my other account do not sync when Accepted but do register correctly on my local Outlook 2013 calendar).

My wife has the same issue with the same configuration on a different machine so the issue is not account related, nor is it related to a mailbox corruption.

Searching online shows others reporting the same issue (for some months now) but I have not found a solution. Please can you point me to a solution to this serious problem.

I have two outlook.com email accounts, call them *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, one for personal e-mail the other for business e-mail.   I set up *** Email address is removed for privacy *** in Outlook 2010 first and populated the Calendar, that was created, with appointments.  Later I set up the *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account and found that the calendar that was created had all the appointments copied from the X account.  This lead to duplicate Outlook reminders.  I tried to delete the appointments from the Y calendar, but then found that the X calendar appointments disappeared.

How can I have the two outlook.com accounts in Outlook with separate and independent calendars?

Assistance will be gratefully received.

I've been having trouble both syncing with my iPhone/iPad and my hotmail calendar.  I also see that I'm unable to view my June or July calendar (I needed to go back to confirm a previous appointment).  I'm unable to view these months on my PC at my office running windows 7, with Explorer V10 or my Macbook Air running Safari 6.05.  I get the same error:

Calendar error

New entries on my phone do not always sync to my hotmail calendar either.  This is a new problem that has been occurring over the past few weeks.  I discovered an appointment on my phone for tomorrow that was not on my hotmail calendar, and another that I had entered on my hotmail calendar that did not show up on my phone.  But, there are other entries that synced correctly.

I contacted Microsoft, and they do not support hotmail in any way.  I was referred to the communities for help.  I believe this may be a Hotmail issue, or a corrupt calendar, but I don't know know how to fix that. Please help.
