Hi,

I believe many others have faced similar problems over the past few months (as I've read) - I was logged out of my Instagram account, forced to reset my password, for which an email was sent to my hotmail (which I hadn't checked for a couple of months) - only to find my entire hotmail inbox wiped out (never mind that for now) ... and no email received from Instagram.

I signed up for my Instagram account with my email, and it wasn't linked to my Facebook account. I've added Instagram to my safe senders list, but to no avail. I've basically tried everything that's been suggested in other threads, but I guess I'll need help checking my account personally.

Please assist!

Thanks a lot.
This is the message I get when I'm trying to look at my profile: "This profile is temporarily unavailable

And I did contact windows live support and the response was that I have not violated any code of conduct and that if I did it has been deleted so that they don't see why am I being blocked.. Could please help me with this issue also it says that I can create another profile but will my email account be deactivated because I really want to keep my current email..

I am using three Laptops for work and private activities. On my latest I have Windows 8 and the latest version of Outlook. This Outlook Version will not show all mails in my Hotmail inbox. About 1 in 5 mails are left out. I do not detect any systematic pattern in these omissions. I can find these mails without problem when using the Outlook 7 Versions of the other two Laptops.

This is extremely annoying and I would like a recommendation on hos to fix the problem. The Outlook set-up of my New PC was done according to the automatic easy set-up process.

Best regards

Magne

Hello!

I have a MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion OS, with a Mac Mail 6.6 (1510) client.  I have 7 email accounts set up on it, with 2 Gmail IMAPs, 4 POP3 accounts from various providers, and one @hotmail.com account, which was until a few days ago set up for POP3 (leave email on Server).

I was thrilled to hear that Outlook.com has finally got IMAP available for email clients like Mac Mail, so I immediately deleted the Hotmail POP account in Mail (through System Preferences -> Mail, Contacts & Calendars) and then set up my Mail app to access Hotmail via IMAP as per your instructions elsewhere.  That's when the problems began..

My Hotmail Inbox has 3-4 sub-folders in it.  It started synchronizing all my folders, and got all the folders into Mail, except the Inbox.  (The sub-folders showed under the Mailbox name as click-to-expand arrows, and had mail in them, only to disappear on their own in 10 minutes)

So I thought I did something wrong, and deleted this account as well, restarted the Mac and again set up the account - it downloaded more than 2500 messages (including sent, deleted, etc.), but didn't display them in the Mailbox.  This time, the Mailbox Inbox had no sub-folders, but the sub-folders appeared as individual folders along with Junk, Deleted, Sent, etc below.  However, when I restarted the Mail app - SUCCESS!  It showed all the folders, including the Inbox.  It then worked fine for 3-4 days whilst the Mac was on standby and Mail was not closed.

Sending as well as receiving was working well, except I had the well-documented problem of mails deleted from Mac Mail app inbox not deleting from the Outlook.com server.  (Any updates on this front?)

But then, when I restarted the Mac today and launched the Mail app, again the Hotmail Mailbox is showing as empty. No amount or restarting the Mail app is bringing the mails back to show in the Mailbox.

Should I go back to POP?  Am I doing something wrong?  All the other accounts setup in the Mail app are working perfectly.

Since more than 6 months ago, my hotmail inbox holds only 5-7days incoming mails. I can not find disappeared mails anywhere. I want to keep all mails not deleted by me stay in inbox. I am subscribed to Windows Live Hotmail Plus.

On my Samsung Galaxy s4, I enabled the sync SMS option, but I can not find the messages in hotmail.  Every time I received a text, the inbox indicated that I had an unread message, but I can not find them to read them or delete them.  My inbox has 58 new unread messages "Inbox (58)", but the new messages do not show on the right hand side of the screen.  I have tried to view only unread messages, but when I do that, no messages are displayed.  I sat on the phone with Verizon for 1.5 hours to try to solve this problem, but it appears to be a hotmail problem, not a verizon problem, so they do not know how to solve it.

On my phone, I have now turned off the option to sync SMS, and I would like to get rid of those unread messages in hotmail.  I can't access those unread SMS messages to delete them from my inbox, so my hotmail inbox perpetually states that there are 58 unread messages.

I contacted Windows Live support but they gave me this reply:
