I'm trying for some time now to close my hotmail account and i'm in an endless loop here.  when i go to to the account closing page i get  this question... i click on close account  Closing your Microsoft account deletes all the data associated with it. Close account after i give in  my password  To close this account, verify that it's yours Email ... You need to deactivate your Hotmail account. Once you've done that, your Microsoft account will be closed automatically after a period of inactivity.  when i go to the second option i go automatically go to the billing services, where nothing is active. no subscriptions on nothing. I went to the PHOTOS category in my Hotmail account and saw that COPIES of my emails were inside that folder!  I did NOT want COPIES of my emails in that folder - whether or not they had "photos" in them, so I did the following:
(1) I double-checked that COPIES were actually inside my EMAIL folder, and they were.
(2) I went back to the PHOTOS folder and DELETED ALL 75 "COPIES".
(3) I went back to my EMAIL folder (where I keep copies)...BUT...THOSE EMAILS HAD BEEN DELETED ALONG WITH THE EMAILS IN THE "PHOTOS FOLDER"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WANT MY EMAILS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND I DON'T WANT HOTMAIL KEEPING COPIES OF MY EMAILS IN THE PHOTOS FOLDER JUST BECAUSE THEY HAPPEN TO HAVE PICTURES IN THEM!

PLEASE RETRIEVE MY EMAILS ASAP.  THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hotmail spell check via Google Chrome

I have both a Hotmail and Gmail account. My Gmail account keeps urging me to open my account via Google Chrome to make it faster and it does make it faster. However, if I open my hotmail account via Google Chrome, I can't find the spell check option for Hotmail, which means I have to open two links, the MSN one for my Hotmail account and the Google Chrome one for my gmail account. Why can't I find the spell check option for my Hotmail account if I open it via Google Chrome? I would much prefer using only one search engine. Thank you.

I just received a message in my hotmail/outlook inbox that states "Reset Alert Confirmation." It stats that "we have recently confirmed that different computers have logging onto your Hotmail account and multiple password errors have been entered.  It goes on to ask me for my name, user name, password, date of birth, etc., and said it is from the Windows Live Hotmail Team.  Is this for real?? Do I need to close my email account?

Suddenly I can't get my Outlook or phone to sync to my Hotmail Account.  Getting error: "There is an error syncronizing your mail account. Please verify your account is configured correctly by first accessing your mail on the web. Error: 4202".

I contacted MS - no help...they had me change my password, still getting the same error...  Help!

Syncing Hotmail Contacts on iOS is Draining My Battery

28. December 2012 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: device, Draining, Hotmail Account, iOS Version, iPhone 3GS, mobile provider, model, phone, syncing
Device: iPhone 3GS
Model: MC637B
iOS Version: 6.0.1 (10A523)

For some weeks now the battery life on my iPhone 3GS has become significantly reduced. I was then recently contacted by my mobile provider to let me know I was approaching my monthly data limit, which surprised me since I typically use very little mobile data.

Upon resetting my phone to the factory settings the problem disappeared, and it then reappeared only when I added my Hotmail account back. By further process of elimination I believe it is specifically the contacts syncing as the battery usage seemed less significant with only Mail or Calendar syncing enabled.

Is this a known problem? Could there be a corrupted contact that the phone is repeatedly trying to sync, or is the issue with my account?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
