Hello,

I am successfully able to backup my email messages onto my Desktop in its own folder.  The problem comes when I try to copy/move the files or folders to a flash drive (I have tried two different flash drives).  The error message goes:

"The file [filename.eml] has extra information attached to it that might be lost if you continue copying.  The contents of the file will not be affected.  Information that might be lost includes ":OEStandardProperty:$DATA".

I've scoured the internet, but haven't found any information about this error.  If anyone can explain what this means and more importantly, how I can copy the messages without losing any data, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for your time.  All the Best.

Using Outlook for mac 2011, I made an archive of my account.  When I restored the archive, everything restored fine except the content of the email messages.  The calendar items, contact info, and message headers with subjects restored as expected, the body of the messages seem to have disappeared.  Any ideas how I can find the missing email content?
I have not touched any email settings and have been unable to send email messages for the past 2 days. I get the following message:
The connection to the server has failed.  Subject 'Re: Customer Testimonial' Server: 'smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E Protocol: SMTP Port: 25 Secure(SSL): No Socket Error: 10060

I am using Microsoft Security Essentials Antivirus program.

Exported email messages from a 32 bit Windows 7 Prof onto a USB stick, empty folder. When Importing onto a 64 bit Windows 7 Prof, newly installed, following normal procedure it appears to import email messages but there is no messages in the Storage Folder, they have disappeared.

Can you Help?

Hi Everyone,
When I launch Outlook all my various folders of email messages are there, including many subfolders inside of folders. But whenever I close or minimize the main window and open it later, all the subfolders have disappeared. I have to quit the application and relaunch it in order to get my subfolders back.

Pretty annoying, as you can imagine.

Any thoughts?
Thanks a lot!

All of a sudden two unrelated email messages were merged together in one email! It happened more than once today, and I don't know how

to fix it!

I have a pc at my home in Connecticut with a hotmail account that is saved in my favorites. I am currently on my sons pc and checking my email messages on his pc in north carolina.  Can someone in connecticut be pulling up my messages in connecticut even tho i have changed my password while in north carolina. I believe a family member in connecticut is on my pc and reading my mail. Is it possible that the I left my email account page open on my pc in connecticut and they can continue reading if it is not shut down on my home pc in connecticut? If so, How can I eliminate there access while i am away? I have just changed my password but i am afraid they have left my email page continuously open and can continue to view. Is that possible?
Upon retirement, my university email has closed.  I have been trying to change to email offered by my ISP - Charter.

I have a MacBook Pro and use Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 that uses Outlook (not Entourage).

I cannot fully operate my @charter.net email.  I can receive email messages but I cannot send emails.

The error message: "A message in your Outbox could not be sent. The account which created the message cannot be found. # 17199"

I have followed all permutations of instructions on the Charter website and their support staff will only support the web based email site.

When trying to figure out why I couldn't reply to a message sent to me via Outlook Express, (Craigslist specificaly), all my Yahoo (default) email messages transferred to my Outook Express inbox, how can I get them back into my Yahoo inbox?
I have a user in an Enterprise operation that was using Outlook for Mac.  She had a large exchange mailbox and a very large "on my computer" folder structure.  The Application became corrupt and I had to reinstall Outlook.  Database rebuild did not help.  I have a backup of the Microsoft user data folder.  Is it possible to extract the "On My Computer" Folders and emails from this database?  Many thanks!
