Am having a problem moving OE 6 email files from my old PC (XP operating system) to my new PC. I believe I followed the instructions correctly from previous posts which had similar issues. Specifically, I copied the "ENTIRE" OE message store folder on the old PC to a flash drive. I then inserted the flash drive into the new PC which has Windows Live Mail 2012 installed. I then clicked:  Menu Button | Import Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6 and pointed to the folder on the flash drive which contained 48 dbx files. After pointing to the location by selecting Browse, I got the following message: "No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open. Please select another folder or try closing applications that may have files open." Any help as to how to correct this problem would be appreciated. Being a novice, I'm pretty much clueless as to what I should do next. FYI: I'm running Windows 8.1 on the new PC. Thanks

New to windows 8 and finding some frustration.  How to I move photos or save them to a flash drive from photo gallery?

I have a large number of emails that I wanted to put on a flash drive in order to give them to another person.  Is there a way to do this with a flash drive or some other means?

Hello.,  My name is Marsha.  I have been having problems with  sending my photo's from my Kingston( flash drive) from my to email account to any one I'm emailing?  Would Microsoft know how to fix this problem for me ?  Does this source that I'm emailing to know if I would need to take my computer & pay for someone to fix the issue?  I think the problem is in SkyDrive or M.S.N., my outlook email account.  It may even be that the computer has issues?  Also, sometimes  I have a problem with something that comes across my computer saying Bing, msn. has stopped working, try again later?  Can anyone help me with any or all of these issues?  My email is:  ** Removed due to privacy. ** Thank You,  Marsha Ehle.

P.S.  My Mother just recently passed away.  I would like to get the SkyDrive working 100% again & what it takes to send photo's to my Aunt & Uncles soon.  They are counting on me to send pictures of my Mom our family relatives.  My Mom's (Sisters & Brothers as soon s possible.)  I'm also a Acrylic Artist  & try to send my photo's & Art Designs to Art Gallery's.

Thanks Again so much for your help!

How can I transfer my inbox messages to a flash drive ?

how do i transfer my hotmail inbox emails to a flash drive ?

(Original title: transfering hotmail inbox to flash derrive?)

Original title: Question: outlook

How do I transfer a email folder out  of  outlook onto a flash drive?

Hello,

I am successfully able to backup my email messages onto my Desktop in its own folder.  The problem comes when I try to copy/move the files or folders to a flash drive (I have tried two different flash drives).  The error message goes:

"The file [filename.eml] has extra information attached to it that might be lost if you continue copying.  The contents of the file will not be affected.  Information that might be lost includes ":OEStandardProperty:$DATA".

I've scoured the internet, but haven't found any information about this error.  If anyone can explain what this means and more importantly, how I can copy the messages without losing any data, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for your time.  All the Best.

I am running Windows 7 and have Live Essentials 2012.  Am trying to import contacts from a csv file on a flash drive into my livemail account.  It says it's importing, then nothing.  No contacts anywhere.  Suggestions appreciated.
