Hello,

I dislike the way, WLM sets the folders tree for the gmail account.

Instead of having of standard structure such as:

Account

=====

>Inbox

>Drafts

>Sent items

>Junk email

>Deleted items

gmail account has structure:

Account

=====

>Inbox

>[Gmail]

>>All Mail

>>Drafts

>>Important

>>Sent Mail

>>Spam

>>Starred

>>Trash

>Personal

>Receipts

>Travel

>Work

I would like to have all those subfolders placed under [Gmail] folder (marked >> above) to appear under Account and get rid off [Gmail] folder.

How to do that?

Thanks,

/jas

While I am in the application Outlook 2011 on my Mac, my computer crashes when deleting from the Deleted Items Trash Can.
I can't delete several hundred messages in my Deleted Items folder. None of these messages have a name or information showing, just a flag icon. Can anyone tell me how to delete them?
Outlook (mac 2011) shows 1 unread email in Inbox and in Deleted Items. Deleted Items is empty while I've marked all items read in Inbox (several times) and deleted and downloaded all items from server.
When I select the Empty Folder option on the Deleted Items drop down menu, I get this message:

"Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost."

I then have to quit out of Outlook. I suspect that it has something to do with an email that I deleted named "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" which I suspected as malware or a virus (the file was never opened), because I have narrowed it down to this file. If I click on it or even select a range of files to delete including this one, the quit window appears and out I go.

I've run a full virus scan before going this.

Is this a problem or should I just ignore it?
I have Outlook 2011 for Mac. I tried to empty my Deleted Items folder and instead it permanently deleted all the subfolders I had under my Inbox On My Computer. How do I get them back? No, they are not in the Deleted Items.
I recently emptied my deleted folder but realised there was a message i need in it. Is there any way of getting it back?
Original Title: "Hi I am using Outlook for Mac 2011 with IMAP settings. When i delete messages from the inbox, i dont see the deleted msg anywhere. Not even in the deleted messages folder. Pl help"
Another issue: i can see flagged messages in my inbox,  in my ''tasks'' folder as well. I deleted tasks today and it deleted the flagged emails from my inbox as well. Now need to recover all the flagged messages.... pl help

Original Title: "Help."

My main calendar folder in Outlook for Mac was accidentally moved into my "Deleted Items" folder at some point.
The calendar still ran.
But, I didn't know it was in there, & when I went to manually delete items in that folder today, it took my entire calendar away.

Now I'm not able to retrive it.
It has my life in there from 2007 to 2013!
I am one of those people that literally use my calendar to tell me what to do each day & now all is lost.
I was backing up my files, only to find that the "calendar" I had been saving was Outlook's name for it -- & it is blank.

- To be clear, I am not using a server
- I did not hook up TimeMachine (but will soon because of this)
- I tried rebuilding my main identity on Outlook & it kept erroring out
Then I read an article that said rebuilding can do more harm that good if you continue to do!

The Microsoft people said if the rebuild doesn't work, they can't help.
The Mac people said I can maybe get it retrieved with forensic software, but that's about it.

Who can I even find that could help me restore this file with forensic software?
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
