I work on an Apple Mac. When I send emails with attachments, they are received OK and can be saved and read OK, but when the recipient tries to forward the email to a third party, the attachments are lost. The recipient has to save the attachments and re-attach to new email. This has only started to happen since using Outlook. I am using Firefox browser.

Original Title: Windows Live Mail

Why has my Live Mail started banning photos. I have a number of old emails with attachments (mainly old cars) which now show up as Prohibited File Type. These are from different people It seems that any attachment that is a photo is deemed a risk to my computer Can somebody please explain, I dont want to disable my security to view these.

I generally use Firefox as my browser.  A good part of the time when I receive emails that have attachments (jpegs, files) from different email sources (gmail, earthlink, etc) the attachments don't show in the email, only a written description of the pic.  When I change over to Internet Explorer, however, they do.  Why are they not showing up in Outlook using Firefox?
I used Outlook for Mac 2011 on my laptop, synced to two Exchange servers.  After about one month, my received emails no longer have any attachments, just the name of the attachment displayed as follows:

<< Obesity microbe PNAS paper.pdf  (832.9KB) >>

I need to keep my attachments indefinitely on my laptop in a searchable fashion. I would greatly appreciate anyone's advice.

Thanks in advance,

When I send myself attachments from work (off of a PC running Windows 7, MS Outlook), whether I send one attachment or multiple attachments, I receive one 'winmail.dat' file as the attachment.

I'm using Office for Mac 2011 on the latest iMac.  My wife uses the same iMac set up and Office for Mac 2011.  I will send to both of us; I receive the winmail.dat file, she will get them correctly, and I have to have her send them to me from her computer so I can use them.

How can I fix this?
