When I select the Empty Folder option on the Deleted Items drop down menu, I get this message:

"Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost."

I then have to quit out of Outlook. I suspect that it has something to do with an email that I deleted named "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" which I suspected as malware or a virus (the file was never opened), because I have narrowed it down to this file. If I click on it or even select a range of files to delete including this one, the quit window appears and out I go.

I've run a full virus scan before going this.

Is this a problem or should I just ignore it?
Hello! I just set up my new iMac with Outlook but I keep getting the same Error Code about once every minute. It reads:

Error

1 That mail is not currently available.

This message contains account information that you may need to act on. This is not an error message. For example, if your mailbox is full, you may need to delete or archive some messages.

Does anyone know what this is from? And, how can I get rid of it? Thanks for your help...     SC
Every once in a while my addresses list in a new email stops displaying names and only display the email addresses, even though all the contacts are in my address book.  Why do you suppose this happens?
The only thing I can think of that has changes recently is that I updated the Microsoft Error Reporting a couple days ago, but now on 2 different Macbook Pro's (both running Mountain Lion), Outlook freezes with the beach ball.   If I wait several minutes it eventually unfreezes, but since email is critical, its very frustrating.  I've noticed this behaviour on 2 different machines today.   Both are connected to an Exchange server and multiple IMAP server as well.   Any ideas?

We have a user who likes Office 2008 but wants to use Office 2011. Do we create teo id for office 2008 and one for2011? Can either read the other?
I have Outlook 2011 for Mac. I tried to empty my Deleted Items folder and instead it permanently deleted all the subfolders I had under my Inbox On My Computer. How do I get them back? No, they are not in the Deleted Items.
Can you rename the custom columns in Outlook for MAC?
