I updated Office for Mac 2011 with 14.3.2 and Mountain Lion with 10.8.3 today (3/20/21013).  Interestingly, all data in iCalendar, which I have to maintain to sync with my iPad, was erased (Note: I do not sync using the Cloud.  I use iTunes. I don't use the Cloud).  Entries which had been made in iCal but had never been entered in the Office 2011 calendar suddenly show up in the Office 2011 calendar.  It is as though the entire contents of the iCal had been transferred to Office 2011 calendar and the iCal file erased.  Also, as part of the update, discrepancies between the Apple Address Book application and Office 2011 Contacts were highlighted and I was asked to choose the correct entry.  Both Address books files seems to be in tact.

I've searched the internet for any explanation of what changes these two updates might have had in them but haven't come up with anything relevant to what I have experienced.  I was disappointed by the changes to the OS X system (Lion) that eliminated syncing my iPad with Outlook for Mac using iTunes.  I had to transfer my address book and contacts to Apple programs to be able to sync.  Now it seems that path has been eliminated for my calendar...at least unless I transfer all my calendar entries back to iCal...which turned out to be a PITA.

Does anyone have an explanation?  The best outcome would be that these new updates somehow gives me a way to sync Outlook contacts and calendar with my iPad, but I am not optimistic.  If syncing is not an option, Is there a good way to download my Outlook calendar to iCal?
my distribution lists that I've created in Outlook 2011 on my computer no longer send.  I swear I haven't done anything differently but the error message I get is:

EmailAddress or Itemid must be included in the request

The email goes back to drafts.  I've been using these distribution lists for years in some cases and just yesterday they stopped working.

Appears to be a KNOWN ISSUE with Microsoft but I can not get any free support for a programming issue on their part!

I would rather not uninstall office 2011 for the mac and then reinstall and update to 14.3.1 and turn off office updates.
Hot fix? work around? ability to just install 14.3.1?

Suggestions? Thank you in advance
Chris

Has anyone else noticed that office for mac outlook 2011 and MAC mail fails to connect to exchange since applying security update 10.8.3? In Outlook it gives error code -199992. Any solutions?
How you you make a rule / change the format, so that new email messages come into your inbox in a different colour?  At the moment, you cannot see the difference between new  / unread messages and those that are already slitting in your inbox. Thanks!
Hi I wonder if there is a program to save emails in sugarcrm system as an example opacus SUGAR connectors, GRINMARK.
This would simplify the job of keeping sugarcrm system directly
I could save a meeting invite when I use Windows OL. But I can't find a way to save meeting invite as one file.
I need to do for attaching 2 meeting invites into 1 email in order to let attendees choose which one you attend. Thanks.
I send out a Bible reading each night to a list of people that asked to be added. I use a group contact in Outlook 2011 for MAC. All worked fine for the past 2 years until 3 days ago, when I began getting the Recipient does not exit here error 17099. To my knowledge nothing has changed and no email addresses were added or changed.
While entering each email address does not take too awfully long, I would love to get back to using the group contact. I also tried reducing the number of email addresses down to 9 and still am unable to send.
I have been using MS Office for Mac for 3 years. I use most often Outlook for my e-mail accounts.
Some 6 months ago I have noticed that Outlook slows down when downloading and sending mails.
More importantly, when composing an e-mail ( a new or a reply), the screen (new e-mail) freezes and nothing happens on it for a while.
The freeze is for 2-10 seconds, then I can continue writing for 2-3 sec., until the screen freezes again.
It is very disturbing and annoying, as anyone could imagine.
Ironically, this situation is getting worse every time I install new MS patch/update/fix for Office 2011.
(I have noticed that every time MS comes up with "an update", and I install it, Mac wants me to update their OS X. Is this a coincidence?)
Does anyone understand the reasons for this issue?
Is there a fix for it?
WIll be grateful for any tips.
Greg.
