I'm using Outlook 2011 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I'm connected to our school's Exchange server. I have ~3 different computers (all running the same OS and programs) that I use within a day as I move from place-to-place within the university. I'd like to have the same files on each machine when I change my location within the university. I'd like to be able to see that I've replied to an email and be able to click on the tab that gives me access to what I replied. I'd like to have the same saved messages "on my computer" on each computer. I'd like to have the same list of contacts "on my computer" on each computer. The Exchange server doesn't give me access to each of the above listed items, although it does give me access to my inbox, sent folder, drafts folders, and the corporate contacts.

One can assume that I've sent out emails using Outlook 2011 from both computers -- thus the 2 are no longer identical in the content of the Office 2011 Identities folder.

I use an external hard drive to enable me to synchronize all of my other files between the various computers as I go from location to location. I use Synchronize! Pro X for this purpose (I'm very happy with this program; was unhappy with Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper).

My current question is: should I only make back-ups of the Office 2011 Identities folder when I move on to another computer or can I synchronize the folders without mucking up Outlook and having to rebuild the database? I'm really hoping that I can synchronize the Office 2011 Identities folders from the 2 machines.
I'm using Outlook for Mac 2011, version 14.3.2. I have groups in myt address book and have always been able to send emails to a group. Suddenly I'm getting this error message: "EmailAddress or Itemid must be included in this request." I'm typing it exactly as I see the error msg. What's happening? Can anyone help? Thanks.
I know you can delete a contact when first creating a contact group and prior to save. How do you edit one later and remove a person for example after they have left your company?
Hi, I was using Outlook 2011 on my Macbook Pro Retina.  Now, for work, I need to use a Windows 8 touchscreen desktop.  I have a desktop, and I have just purchased Windows 365 for it.  Several months ago, I seamlessly transferred all my old email and calendar files from a Windows computer to the Mac.  Now, however, I can find no way to get the Mac Outlook files onto my new Windows 8 desktop.  I tried downloading one of those converters, but it doesn't list Windows 8 as being compatible, and the free trial didn't seem to work, as no emails were imported...Please help.  I'm getting way behind in work and I need to get this taken care of ASAP.  Thanks.
All, i have created a shared mailbox and given full access permissions to few users out of which one is using Office for Mac. this user can't create an appointment in shared calendar. every time user creates something it is created in default/own calendar and there is no option to change calendars. Color categories are not syncing either. Windows users doesn't have a problem. Am i missing something here? I am using Exchange 2010.
Hi.

Every 30 seconds or so my outlook is freezing/hanging (with the dial appearing) for around 10 seconds. It appears on the forum that many people have this problem but there are a range of suggestions of how to fix it, many of which do not include very clear explanations of the steps to take and what they actually mean (ie 'set up a new identity').

I've taken to working offline to get bulk work done before switching the airport connection back on.

My email comes via a 1and1 imap account. I have IMAP idle switched off.

If the answer is setting up a new identity could you explain how that could affect my current inbox, folders and contacts, or what I can do to ensure it doesn't affect them at all.

Any help appreciated.

I am using microsoft outlook 2011 version 14.3.2 (130206). I can send emails well but cannot receive at all. The popped up message after failed receiving is always: 'An operation on the server timed out. The server may be down, overloaded, or there may be too much net traffic.' Error code -3259.
Please inform me what to do. Thx
A few weeks ago I allowed microsoft to change my hotmail to outook.
I don't use office outlook for mac...only logging in through hotmail.com online as I have for years.
Now I can no longer make attachments in my emails. I use a mac, with Safari.
I have downloaded the latest silverlight.
Before installing it I even deleted the old version.
Yes, I cleared history/cache etc.many time over...restarting the comp etc....
When I go to click on the icon for attachments like I used to using hotmail, nothing happens. It's like the icon is for background purposes. You can click on it and nothing happens ...at all.
VERY FRUSTRATED!!

After installing the latest Office for Mac update, all of a sudden my sent emails go to my junk folder and not my sent items folder.  I have deleted all the rules and lowered junk mail protection to no avail.   I saw that you could repair your sent items folder through web mail on one post, but don't have that option and don't know about webmail.  I am using an exchange server.  This just suddenly started Monday the 18th of March.
I have my email account synced, but I hate having to put in my calendar events twice- Can someone help???
