When I am sending an email message to one of my distribution lists, not all of the members are receiving the email.  How can I fix this?
Hello everyone,
I work for consulting company and we are opening new to the 365 Office concept. I have set up a team site for our company were we can all exchange files and have access to whatever folder we are synced to. This is all working fine n' dandy till I started on another companies site. I have set up 1 team site for the small company with multiple folders ranging from administrator's folder to remote site folders.

Now here is the issue: I would like to be able to control (preferably by group) who has access to parent folders as well as sub-folders. I have make (under users and groups in skydrive site) distribution lists (which typically are for e-mail.) Is there a way to make security groups? I am using the web interface as of right now. I have googled ALOT but Skydrive/Sharepoint/365 seem to change quite often. So far I noticed a very jagged permissions system if you click, "...." in a folder then "Advanced" then monkey around till you find manage permissions. My distribution lists see to show up in this but I have no way of editing individual folders/sub-folders. It just seems like a pain to figure out, I can edit what permissions each distribution list has (full control, edit, write, ect) just as a general permissions for the entire group. How to I apply these permissions with a security group and apply them for parent folders and sub-folders or even how do I control them on a per-person permission basis? The folders are all hosted on 1 site.

Thanks,
-Michael

How do I establish and maintain my own distribution lists under my own domain in Outlook.com/live.com environment?
  • I am looking for something similar to Google Groups, where I can establish an e-mail adress such as everyone(a)mydomain.com and have e-mails to that adress automaticlly forwarded to one or more other adresses.
  • The Skydrive solution does not work as I cannot establish adresses in my own domain
  • The forward solution in account does not work as it can only forward to one other account (enabling the option to forward to multiple recipients  would solve my problem.).

Thanks

1. How can I stop the distribution list from expanding
2. How can I see all contacts on a distribution list

Thanks

my distribution lists that I've created in Outlook 2011 on my computer no longer send.  I swear I haven't done anything differently but the error message I get is:

EmailAddress or Itemid must be included in the request

The email goes back to drafts.  I've been using these distribution lists for years in some cases and just yesterday they stopped working.

Appears to be a KNOWN ISSUE with Microsoft but I can not get any free support for a programming issue on their part!
Please see the following google Groups only 3 hours old at time of this post.

I would rather not uninstall office 2011 for the mac and then reinstall and update to 14.3.1 and turn off office updates.
Hot fix? work around? ability to just install 14.3.1?

Suggestions? Thank you in advance
Chris

There has been a major change in the way Contacts look in Hotmail. How are Distribution Lists created and modified now?
