Hello, I installed Office for Mac 2011 and when it synced the contacts (through Exchange), most of the contact photos now no longer show in OWA or in Outlook 2013 from my Windows PC's. They are not lost: In Outlook 2013 (for windows) they appear instead
under "Notes", in the form of a thumbnail jpeg. On my Mac, however, the photos show up correctly. None of my windows accounts (e.g., windows phone) now show any photos any longer. I tried some troubleshooting: I deleted all my contacts from everything, and
imported them back to Outlook for Mac and synced them, but the photos still show only under "notes" in the Windows accounts. On my Mac, however, the photos show up correctly.
I have an exchange account and several IMAP accounts setup in Outlook 2011. I create appointments in both Exchange and in my IMAP emails. I noticed that the appointments created in my IMAP on devices like my iPhone (synced through iCloud did not show-up
in Outlook calendar). So I setup sync services. After doing this I noticed that Exchange appointments now show in iCal but still personal appointments do not show in Exchange. Based on everything I read this appears to be the way it works?
So I am therefore using iCal to view my calendar on my PC as it is the only way to see all appointments - mirroring what I see on my iPhone. Am I right so far? This has resulted in most appointments showing up in iCal although there are inexplicable
missing appointments occasionally. I usually resolve this by opening the appointment in Outlook and saving it again - forcing a sync.
In Sync Services I see two accounts - Exchange and On My Computer. For both I have selected them and then on the drop down list (Outlook folder to add new items to:) I have selected Exchange / Calendar. I am confused about the logic of these options
- I don't know if I set this up correctly? Thanks for any help.

I have recently transferred my Outlook from previous Mac Pro to this machine. Outlook opens ad runs well, but freezes every time on close. I have tried:
Rebuilding identities
Removing old identity backups
Reinstallation
Also, I recall a thread regarding conflicting preference files but cannot seem to locate it now.
TYIA for any insights into this issue.

I just reinstalled Outlook 2011 (14.3.6) on my 10.8 Apple system, and I see a weird behavior: if I type the word
I'll
it autocorrects it to
I'Ll
weirdly capitalizing the first letter after the apostrophe. I went to the Autocorrect Preference panel and tried to enter it into the Exceptions lists, but they don't seem to take - I try to add it to the First Letter tab, and it never gets put on the list.
I did notice that the problem went away when I uncheck "capitalize 1st letter of sentences". Why does it think that an apostrophe marks the fist letter of a sentence??

I have recently bought a new Mac. It is running Office for mac 2011, Home and Business including Outlook version 14.3.6.
My old G4 computer is running Office 2004 and its mail application is Entourage for mac 2004 version 11.4.0. I have tried to transfer my old emails to the new mac by using 'File Export' and exporting Microsoft User Data from the old mac document folder
to an external hard drive. I have then used 'Import' to get this data from the external drive to the new mac - while my 2004 Microsoft User Data has been imported from the external storage including my Office 2004 identities, my old emails have not appeared
in the new Outlook's window. How can I get these mail messages into Outlook on the new Imac?
Recently, my Outlook program has started crashing every time I try to send an email.
The error report is as follows:

Does anyone know what is causing this error?
I had a few hundred emails on my webmail server and finally got Outlook set up. When I hit "Send/Receive", it appeared to have downloaded everything, with the exception of the Sent Messages. Any idea how to get them, or where it might have put them other
than the Sent Items folder? Some, but definitely not all, of my sent items are still on the webmail server, so I think they may be somewhere in Outlook.
Thanks,
david

Great! I signed up for an Office365 Home Premium because I was told it would support Office for MAC (and even includes the product for download). That´s a paid service, still no luck connecting to outlook.com. What gives ... ?
Moderator note: I've split this message from the original thread because this topic stands on its own. [Talking Moose]
I just set up my hotmail account on Outlook on my mac, and my mac is downloading the mail but only from the last 2 days..
I would like the mac to download all my mail from my Hotmail account.
How can i make this happen?
Tnx
