When I receive an email it shows as being sent exactly 8 months ago (eg. - today the emails show as being sent Jan. 27th).  However, when I send an email it is being received with the correct sent date.  Coincidentally, my "MY Day" pop up displays the same incorrect date (Ja. 27th) but shows the events of Aug. 27th.
Set up new account on new computer.  All incoming mail has <no subject> and I have to open and download each individual email to read.  Time consuming with the amount of spam I receive.
how do you edit a distribution list?
My reply is always at the bottom of the email chain.  Is this somehow related to my signature, which also shows up at the bottom?  Can I change this?  I haven't tried not using a signature on replies  Will this help?
For a while I'm trying to use my outlook again.
A couple of months ago I bought a new macbook and I haven't used outlook for a while.
Now I want to start using outlook again, but every time I try, whatever I do I get the following message:

"There has been a time out on the server. The server is not available or might be overloaded"

Code: -3259

Mail can't be synced.
Accountname "......."

I've already tried to make new identity, new account, remove and install outlook, but nothing seems to work.

Anybody knows how to solve this issue?
I have set up a rule to forward work emails to another address so they can be monitored by a work colleague.

It works BUT.....

To save size I get the attachments removed before forwarding. My problem is that the rule removes the attachments from the origin sent email. This is not good as my email client is my buffer record of what I have sent by email. I file contractual email separately but I sometimes I don't have time for that and do it later.

Is there a way of forwarding without attachments but keeping the originals?

Anyones help with be welcome.

I just purchased an imac and imported my outlook PST file from my prior windows machine. The imported file now appears in outlook for MAC as a separate folder and not part of the inbox. I wanted to keep my old inbox (from my pst file) and not create a separate one. Is there any way to solve this ?

Grateful for any advice

thanks

Hi...  I've used Outlook for Mac for years for my Calendar and it's always worked flawlessly until today.  As recent as a few days ago I entered a new appointment as I've done a thousand times and it worked fine...  Then today I tried to enter yet one more for something I need to do (one time event) on September 16th.  I went to Sept 16, double clicked to open a new appointment, entered the pertinent info and said "save and close".  But nothing appeared in the September 16 box (I used a "montly" calendar view but I switched to all the other view possibilities and nothing shows for this new appointment on Sept 16.  Tons of other appointments show up all over the place including two others that were made long ago for Sept 16th but nothing for the one I just tried to make today...

So next I came back into the current month, August, and tried to make several test appointments, all to no avail...  I shutdown and restarted Outlook...  No change...  I then shutdown and restarted the Mac...  No change...  I went to the preference area and didn't see anything that looked suspicious.  I even went so far as to completely reinstall the latest update I installed quite some time ago, that update being version 14.3.6.  No change...

Next I created a new appointment for just a few minutes from the current time and set the notification time to 0 minutes such that it would not notify me in advance but would instead notify me precisely when the appointment was due...  I saved that appointment as just as with all others today, nothing visibly show up in my calendar.  However, when the appointed time came sure enough the reminder came up and told me of the appointment...

So it's THERE...  It's just NO LONGER VISIBLE...

What could have happened???  Is it a bad preference file???  What???  I really need to get this working again as I use it daily...  Any help would be much appreciated...

thanks... bob...
My emails corrupt into strange, possibly international characters.  We you hit send they change.  This often happens when you end a sentence with "..."

Do you know what would be causing this to happen?
