Hello,

The shared calendars on my office for mac 2011 dissapear and then reappear and im unable to find out what causes this and how to fix this, I was wondering if theres anyone that experienced the same issue or if theres someone that knows how i could fix this. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Please note that I have been using Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac on my MacBook Pro.About 4 days back the program closed down abruptly and ever since I have not been able to start it again. On checking with the data I found out that all the files in the Main Identity have been stored as .olk files. Now I am not able to import these back to Microsoft Outlook again...Can you please help me with this problem?

Hi,

We've been repeatedly trying to connect 3 email accounts (Kerio, Office 365 and Gmail) to Outlook 2011 installed from Office 365. We're facing 2 problems

1. Outlook can't seem to authenticate email accounts. When we try to remove the account and put it back in, it works. After a few hours, the issue below appears. This is true not only for Gmail but also for Office 365 and Kerio.

2. passwords are not saved perpetually. After a day or two, Outlook prompts us to type in the passwords again for all 3 accounts.

We've tried this approach for the "outlook cannot find server" issue without any luck: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2409268/en-us; and we've tried this approach for the password issue: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2011-macoutlook/password-wil-not-be-remember-in-outlook/470b1521-eaf5-411c-b070-276de2629cc5 but it was not resolved.

Additionally, we've tried to remove all the accounts and put them back in, reinstall Office 2011 several times over, and change the proxy settings and open all required ports in the network.

Kindly requesting assistance on these 2 issues.

I set-up Outlook using IMAP (and used the IMAP setting on my iphone as well).  I have 2 issues:

1) The only way I can view emails (received/sent) on my Macbook Pro is to click on My Computer or INBOX

2) The only way I can view emails (receive) on my iPhone is to select all email accounts

Our mail is hosted by YOURHOST.COM and if I view my emails directly on the server account, I can see only about 150 of the 7000 emails I have on my Outlook (when viewing emails on in my INBOX).  These same 150 emails match exactly the same emails if I click on the email account I set up on my MacBook and as well as the 150 if I view only the email account on my iphone.

I sent a test email to my email account.  It showed up immediately on my iphone, on my Macbook and on the mail server.  But after about 1 minute, it was automatically deleted from my iphone and the mail server.  I can also, only view the test email on my iphone by clicking on my INBOX or ON MY COMPUTER.

I am not running this outlook account anywhere else except on my iPhone and MacBook Pro.

I am using OSX 10.6.8 and version 14.3.9 of Outlook for Mac 2011.

Hope someone can help me; I've been to the Genius Bar 5 times and on the phone with YOURHOST about 15 times.  Apple advised me today that it seems like my Outlook is operating like a POP account; however it is set up as IMAP.

Hallo

I'm having this repeated issue where I open an attachment from a co-worker, work on & re-save the document, only to discover after closing the doc that I've saved it (again) to the dreaded Outlook Temp folder.  It then takes a while to navigate to that folder & find my doc or, alternately, if I close OutLook or the program I'm working in crashes (too often w/ Microsoft apps), I lose the doc forever.

So my question is, how can I bypass the Outlook temp folder altogether?  Or is it possible to insure that, if I open an attachment and save it, it won't save to the Outlook Temp folder?

I recently switched our primary CAS servers over from a single exchange 2010 cas/mailbox/hub server to a couple new exchange 2013 CAS/Mailbox servers.  Exchange 2013 has cu3, and is hosted on windows server 2012.  Anyone who has their mailbox hosted on one of these exchange 2013 servers has an issue where they must click the send/receive button to get new messages downloaded to their client. This is only the case for outlook 2011 for mac client.  Activesync clients, mac mail, OWA, and Outlook 2010/13 all behave normally.

Where can I look or what can I check to troubleshoot this issue?

I am trying to import an mbox folder (from cpanel webmail) into Outlook for Mac 2011 (latest version)

When I select 'file, import folder' the mbox file i have downloaded from my webmail is greyed out so that I cannot select it to import.

I have checked the 'get info' properties and permissions are set to reat/write on the mbox file

if i change the properties of the file to view it with Text Edit, I can see all the characters of text so I know there is information there

The file size if 663 kb

The file extension is .mbox

I'm not an IT person - just a very frustrated small business owner (completely frustrated)

Is there anyone who can give me a straightforward answer to make this work.  The software is still under warranty but I've given up trying to get help from Microsoft Support.

Is it possible to sync the SkyDrive calendar with your Office for Mac 2011 Outlook calendar?

Thanks very much
