Hi,

I have tried so many times to recover my hotmail account *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, but everytime I receive a reset link it says that there is a temporary problem and to try again later. I am tired of this now. I have filled out a form where I have written eveything that relates to my hotmail account an it was suuccessful, but still the same message appeared when I received my reset link: there is a temporary problem, please try again later. Is there any other chance that I can get my hotmail account back? I really need this account it is very important for me.

*** Email address is removed for privacy ***
My account xx-.a.d.a.m.-*** Email address is removed for privacy *** has been blocked and so has the account it leads to! I have tried resetting the password and doing all sorts of different things and I just can't seem to find a way to get it unblocked! Also if there is a Number to call from Australia to contact help I would love that!

Just had my account open with a security information change. I wanted to change the alternative email address but it won't let me. So it's given me a code over the phone - fine if I'm at home but obviously useless elsewhere. I can see nowhere now to add an alternative email. Perhaps there is a way to add it - I don't know. But there is no "contact us" to email microsoft. It means setting up another account with a provider I know I can contact if need be. It also talked about two stage validation but said nothing more. Not very good.

So if anyone can help me contact the powers that be, many thanks.

Dear all,

I see others have had issues with Outlook syncing to iphones but haven't found the exact same problem.

My contacts seem to be syncing, but early last week the mail app stopped updating. I deleted and re-added the account in a couple of different ways; through the Exchange and Hotmail routes, as described in several places, but my Inbox folders do not load and no messages appear.

I had the same issue with gmail, but can download a separate app for this and don't use it much anyway.

So, I suppose it's more likely the issue is with the phone, but if there is a way to fix it via outlook.com, that would also be useful.

Alternatively I just need to get to the phone shop and buy a new Android.

Many thanks.

I have the SkyDrive desktop application installed on three PCs. They are running Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. I also have SkyDrive on a Surface RT and a Windows 8 phone.

On the Windows 7 system files in the SkyDrive folder have the icon overlay changing from the green tick symbol to the blue arrows in a circle. On the other systems the same files keep the green tick symbol. No changes have been made to any of these files. Files can be added to the SkyDrive folder and synchronised but modifying these files in place does not synchronise them. The files are mostly .txt, .rtf or .jpg.

There are entries for these files in the SyncDiagnostics log. These are mostly of the form:

syncProblem=CloudFileNotInDat:<filename>,isPartner:false

There are two with syncProblem=LastUpdateTimeMismatch

There is an occasional Event log entry

Session "SkyDriveSessionName" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022 fromKernel-EventTracing

When I first noticed this problem, I resolved it by deleting the folders from SkyDrive and copying back in. I'd like to avoid having to do this again with the associated synchronising and checking all the devices are actually holding the same data.

I started using Outlook.com 16 April 2013 and have only just realised that some emails older than ~ 60 days are being automatically deleted from the various sub-folders that I have created beneath my Inbox & Sent folders!  This is a disaster as I need to refer to these emails.

What seems strange is that some folders contain emails from day 1, whereas others only have 60 days worth.  I have checked that I have no rules which might be causing this... I have none.  I normally use Outlook 2010 to access the account via MAPI, or from my iPhone via Microsoft Hotmail.

I have tried recovering them using the recover deleted emails feature but nothing came back...

Is there any way that I can recover these emails (several from my solicitor have some very important attachments)?

Plus how do I stop this happening in the future...?

I cannot understand the difficulty of just renewing my outlook.com ad free subscription.  My subscription expired on 07/31 and I needed to change the payment type from card to paypal.  I am afraid of deleting my card,  because my subscription information is tied to the card and doesn't let me change  the payment type for that subscription.   All the support option does is bring me to this forum where I have to type out a paragraph detailing my problem.    Not impressed.     Please assist.
