locked out of my old hotmail account and denied access for not giving enough information!!!! rediculous and angry.

Currently going crazy at the stupidity of this situation - Hotmail has blocked my account and says I cannot gain access to it until I can provide them with more information!!

It comes up saying it looks like someone else has tried using my account. It says send code to *****@Hotmail.com but I have no idea who's email that even is as I created this account years ago! so that doesn't work. it then gives the option of filling in info about myself and my last sent emails and subject lines etc. However I spent ages wracking my brains doing this and the first time Hotmail replied automatically saying its not enough info, the next time it said they would look into it but I've had no reply ever since and that was over 4 days ago - so can only assume it wasn't good enough!!!!!!!! I've tried entering it all and trying again but for some reason once I've entered all the info and click submit, the page does absolutely nothing. 

 

I simply do not remember exact subject lines and emails of people I have been speaking to as I'm moving house and sending about a million emails to different company's (most of which come through with a specific estate agents name which I also take no notice of!!!!)

This is a crucial time for me to access my account as im missing out on all new properties put on the market and im ready to scream!!!!

I feel I will never be able to access my account again as I just cant give any better info than I already have!!!

Hotmail is just ridiculous and has NO PHONE SUPPORT!!!!

 

Restore deleted mails in outlook

Hi,

In Outlook I have a favourite folder with all my mails, and accidently I have deleted all mails in this folder whereby all my mails have been moved from my folders to the "deleted mails"-folder.

Can I get my mails restored back to their original folders automatically - I have approx. 5000 mails that I need restored back to approx. 20 folders?

I cant unblock a safe sender I accidently blocked

I accidently blocked a company I shop with and have an account with  I receive  newsletters etc into my inbox , I have since added it to my safe senders list but am still not receiving any mail from them which is a pain as I have been trying to send a reset link for the account I hold with them to my outlook inbox , the bit that is really puzzling to me is that I cannot see them on my blocked list , also I dont want to unblock all the senders in my blocked list as my inbox will be flooded with spam ,

Please help 

Outlook.com email search problem

Hi there. The search email function on my hotmail account a few weeks ago. I have tried using Internet explorer and chrome browsers on different computers - office, home desktop and laptop. It also doesn't work in chrome and safari on my iPhone and iPad either. 

When I log in to another hotmail.com account on the same browsers, the search function works

I get this error on my iPhone:
Sorry, it looks like there was an error. Please try again. 
Ok

This error on desktop:

There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook. 



Is there something wrong with the index on my account? I need to get this search function back urgently.

Outlook no longer opens my Hotmail

Months ago, when I first received the notice that Hotmail was being phased out to @outlook, I tried to create an @outlook.com account. No matter how hard I tried, all I kept getting was an automated email saying that my "alias" had been setup. I didn't want an "alias". I wanted an actual email account. I have my name at pretty well everything email out there and it was very important to me to also get my name @outlook.com.

Thus started the most frustrating back and forth with Microsoft on what was going on. They were clueless and I finally gave up. If someone else got my name @outlook. com I didn't care anymore because I am happy to continue with my Gmail account. I sent out a notice that I was fed up with Hotmail and to please update my contact to Gmail. I might also point out here that, in all the time I have used Gmail, I have just over a hundred SPAM messages that I just haven't bothered to delete. In just one month with Hotmail I have over three thousand junk emails, everything from "make it bigger" to "Viagra". 

I happened to get a new computer which came with Windows 7 and Office 2013 (hate it). I setup my Outlook t receive several of my different email accounts, including my Hotmail. Everything worked fine until today. My Hotmail won't open because "the file is in use by some other application", with, of course, no clue as to what that might be. I signed into my Hotmail account in my browser and my "Hotmail" loaded just fine, but when I checked my Account Settings, low and behold I now have two alias - @hotmail.com and @outlook.com. No clue as to what my actual account is so that I can add it to my Outlook. 

What a mess! Microsoft has become a pathetic joke. As if Office 2013 isn't bad enough, now they're screwing up Hotmail. Hey guys! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I used to have my Hotmail Sign In automatically when I started my Lap Top.  This doesn't happen under the new Outlook.com.  I've looked, but can't see how to set this up - can anyone help?

My hotmail has been hacked! No access for over a week. Please help!

Please help me, my account has definitely been hacked.

I was hacked last Thursday night and spam was sent to many of my contacts (I could see this on my phone). Unfortunately I was just leaving to catch a flight and so didn't have time to change my password. Now my password is no longer valid (as whoever is in there has changed it, I assume).


Neither of the emergency back-up contact email addresses are valid - they could be misspellings of accounts or accounts that I used to have which have been automatically deleted.

I just made this account I'm currently using to try and circumvent this but it wouldn't let it end in hotmail.com as my old backup email did.

I have tried filling in the questionnaire but it keeps coming back as negative, possibly because of all the spam that's being sent from the account and the fact that I can't remember most of the information it asks. Can someone please help? I can get my spammed friends to email you to verify my identity.


It's been over a week now of unsuccessful attempts to access my data.

I have connected my Skype account to the Microsoft one but I still can`t access skype from Outlook.com inbox, while in Skydrive i can?

Hi.

I have connected my Skype account to the Microsoft one, but I still can`t access Skype from my Inbox. While, in the same time,  I can use it from Skydrive.

 

So, while Skydrive connects to Skype, I can`t use my Skype through Outlook.com, People & Calendar.

All my preferences are set to English (US).

 

Please suggest something.
