I decided to switch to outlook.com from Gmail because I use outlook 2013 and the exchange connection is far superior to IMAP.  Exchange also supports syncing of tasks, calendar, and just works better.  The problem is I have many saved emails in folders in Gmail and it appears the only way to import them is all together in one large mass, no folders, no saving to those folders, just over 5,000 emails in one folder.  I thought I could just copy messages from the IMAP folders to the exchange folders in outlook 2013, which would then sync with the outlook.com server.  I keep getting an error message saying "Exchange ActiveSync doesn't support what you're trying to do"  If I cannot get my mail in the existing folders in outlook.com then it's pointless to make the switch.  I don't have the time to go through 5,000+ messages to sort them.  Any suggestions?
NOW this stupid changeover to Outlook is telling me that I have to get a security code. There's nowhere I can find to contact them successfully and it won't let me input an active alternate email address AND I've tried TWICE unsuccessfully to receive a text message with the code. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Being a Hotmail user for over 20 years I'm keen to get access to all of my old Hotmail emails, is there an archive facility I can access and if not, why not?

Hi.  I use the MS Outlook 2007 desktop client to manage my Exchange account e-mail.  My question involves the Microsoft Outlook 2007 desktop client and the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone.

When I read new e-mail from the Outlook desktop client, the phone updates the correct e-mails with the status "read."   However, when I read an e-mail from the Galaxy S4 phone, my Outlook desktop client inbox does not update the corresponding e-mail's status to "read".  I haven't been able to find a setting to correct this.  Selecting "Device has priority" from the "In case of sync conflict" does not resolve the issue.

Deleting an e-mail from the phone DOES delete the e-mail from the desktop client.

Any ideas?

Can I make "This PC" default location for Skydrive app to open to?

Original Title: Can't send mp3 files.

When I attach an MP3 file to an email, I get a message that says "Internet Explorer has temporarily stopped working" and I can't send the email with attachment.  This happens when I am using my msn email account, or my gmail email account.  This just started happening about 2 weeks ago.  I upgraded to Internet Explorer 10, and things were OK for a while, but now it's back.

Despite multiple moderators telling me what link to go to and I KEEP trying to do so, I am never allowed to get through.  The link sends me to the multi-choice page and I select the "problem receiving security code" one.  It sends me to the sign in page and I TRY to sign in, but every time it comes back with a reply of "can't find search results when I try to sign in and states to check the answered ones from the community!
This is a NON-STOP run-around loop for days now and am getting nowhere.
DON'T bother trying to answer this with the same old garbage for same old links as they are NOT working for me.   I don't know why they aren't as I am on an APPLE Mac and have cleared everything multiple times and a virus/Trojan check shows ZERO issues and machine is clean.
I guess I will just have to close account and maybe try to make a new account.....IF I feel like staying here.  HOTMAIL was great....this is worthless.
I DON'T HAVE A CELL PHONE AND I AM NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE OUT UNLISTED LAND LINE WITHOUT KNOWING EXACTLY WHO IS GETTING IT!          Alternate e-mail and security question is all I want/need.
