My emails from around 2008 and before have all been deleted by Hotmail and I was told that they are not recoverable.
Has there been any progress on this? They include emails exchanged with my wife that I really don't want to lose for sentimentality reasons.
I have used up my 7Gb limit on SkyDrive and tried to delete an old notebook stored there. But after I right clicked on it, deleted it and then emptied the recycle bin, it reappeared in SkyDrive's 'File' section. I also get an error, "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again, or refresh the page."
I tried doing this on 2 PC's at different locations but got the same result. Any idea what is wrong?
I have a small laptop running Windows7 Starter but Windows Live Mail is not working properly after a series of three critical updates. I could possibly use System Restore to get me back to an earlier system that worked, (haven't tried yet) but what would happen about those system updates. Would Windows proceed to install them all again and perhaps recreate the same problem???
Or is there a better option for tackling this problem?

I own domain www.shitole.com I registered this with domains.live.com . Purpose - to use outlook.com for email with my domainname.
Now I have updated DNS records in my domain DNS settings but I still get following Message on https://domains.live.com/manage/default.aspx even after 2 weeks.

Note my domain registration with outlook.com had some issue with signing up this domain due to language issue( my domain name spelling is treated as inappropriate). which has been fixed by Microsoft community member.

Im able to sign in and access my hotmail/outlook account - I can also send mails.
However, I'm not able to receive any mails. I have checked my junk folders and haven't received anything for the last few weeks - even though I know that people have sent mails to me.
Please could you let me know your thoughts?

Last week I updated my MSN account to show only 2 weeks of messages. I thought that restriction applied to my Inbox but it was to all folders. I did not want to loose messages I had in folders. Can I get these back?

I recently discovered that all my old e-mails have gone.
The suggestion to recover in this thread, and others, have failed so far.
My few files on Skydrive seem to be still there, so I don't understand why my e-mails have not been automatically backed up to my Skydrive space.
So, how do I recover several years worth of e-mails?

I have configured my ovalininternational.com for Outlook mail.
I have Setup all necessary DNS records (MX and Text) on my domain.
and even i checked online DNS lookup tools now my domain is showing correct record but in Domain setting, it is still showing
