Hello Microsoft,

I am unable to see preview in windows live movie maker and other windows live application like photo gallery. I bought sony vaio laptop in February and it has pre-installed windows 7 home premium. when it was brand new the movie maker preview utility was working fine but when the windows take update from your site, after some time the the preview utility gives only a blank and black screen.

I thought, it was some technical problem with my laptop so I restored my laptop. after that the preview utility working fine but after taking some update from your site its gone again. I am using 2011 version and I am sending you my windows movie maker screen shot you can see how my preview looks like. I thing there will be some problem with Microsoft update.

So please solve my problem as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance...............
Hi,

I just wanted to share my problem and solution.

I have Windows 7 64 bit with 1 GB graphics card and 4 x 23" monitors, 16 GB of memory, and AMD FX 8150 at normal speed, 3.6 GHz.

I was experiencing terrible lag while editing AVCHD video, 1080p.  It took about 30 seconds just to select a spot and play.  Yes, that terrible.

The fix:  Unplug 3 of my monitors!  I guess they take up a pretty large amount of the graphics card's memory.

I hope this helps someone.

After I edit my movie , I go to the save as function. I've tried to burn to DVD, save for HD TV, YouTube, etc.  It will start the process, but stop at step 2 with about 24% completed. All it says is, "Windows Movie Maker has stopped working". I used to have no problem. Now, all of a sudden, it's giving me this error. Please help.
I am using Windows 7. I've tried to use it in Compatibility Mode already. That did not work.

Regards,
Donnell
I "added music" to pictures I assembled in  Windows Movie Maker and even though I selected the "Fit To Music" option in the "Project Tab", the music (green bar) doesn't carry throughout the entire movie of about 70 pictures?   Should I try to remove the music and re-add it again ?  If that is the correct action , I can't figure out how to remove the music and re-add it.  For clarification I did not import videos, I am only working with pictures and music.  I greatly appreciate anyone's advice on this! Thank you!
why is it up until now i was able to make short stop motion movies with my 9 year old son using his lego and saving it with no problems.
Approx 5 months on ,we have just made another one in exactly the same way and WMM will save it as a project but not as a movie when finished .
Have windows done an update in the last 5 months that has interfered with WMM ,if so can they put it right please,im only a simple bloke who enjoys making these little movies with my son and then technology frustrates me by not allowing me to do something i used to do!
Computers baffle me as it is ,being im 46 without this sort oof thing happening.
 Thanks

Derrick.

Hello to whomever is answering this or suffering from the same problems.

I recently took a video that was about an hour long recorded through FRAPS and loaded it in to Movie Maker. After working on it, I saved it as a Windows Media Audio/Video File. After a few hours, it finished saving and I went to preview it. About 12 minutes in to the video, the video freezes for the rest of the movie until the point that I cut together two different videos. Throughout the whole thing though, the sound continues unabated. I have created a couple other videos before this one that have worked fine, most have been pretty close to the same length. I would greatly appreciate an answer ASAP.

Thank you very much for the help!
I had films and Music on my Windows 7 computer and had already made a film from these but since getting a new laptop with windows 8 on it I am not able to make a film with the same files that I had previously used I can get as far as a project and it gets about half way through stage 2 of making the film then I get a message windows movie maker has got a problem and has to shut down with no explanation of why and it is most annoying as I am not sure what I am doing. the videos from camcorder are showing AVCHD Video (.MTS) and the music files are MP3 File (.mp3) can anyone help
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium version of Movie Maker.  I saved my completed movie with High Definition Display, which is essentially the same as the recommended save setting.  I then burned it on my DVD.  However, when I played the DVD in my blu-ray player, it does fill the whole  TV screen but it looks digitized and definitely not high definition.  I've even tried the "burn a DVD" setting, which is only 480p.  It's not clear, but looks slightly better than the high definition setting!  My digital photos are excellent when viewed directly from the camera, so I'm very frustrated that I can't get the same good results when burned to a DVD.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

I have been editing a film on windows movie maker for a while and it has now stopped showing me the videos.

I can see the clips and audio in my timeline but it won't play. I need to sort this out asap as i have a deadline for this video. I have tried lots of methods i have read but none have worked yet. Also, when attempting to publish my video, it says 'Windows Movie Maker cannot publish the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the publishing location is still available, that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again.'

This is really annoying me and i need some help to sort it. My laptop is Windows 7 if that helps.

Many Thanks.

I Finished my project after hours of efforts and i told the windows to save the project' but in the middle of the save it got stuck anf after said that the file is corupted and cant be open in movie maker i still see my project in my docs but i cant open him! what should i do?
