Windows Live Movie Maker stops working and shutting down

Why does movie maker get to 43% and then stop working. I saved 5 movies just prior to this successfully and now it wont do anymore. I tried some of the fixes posted here but failed. I'm running version 2012 build 16.4.3528.0331. The movies all average about 7 minutes each. The files I'm using are .jpg mp3 mp4 and effects from movie maker. Nothing out of the ordinary. I did notice in the control panel/programs and features/uninstall that there is a Windows essentials media codec pack 3.6 that was installed in 12/6/2011 but I ran the repair option on the version 'm running right now (version 2012 build 16.4.3528.0331) and it says repair was successful. Please help me.

Hi,

I would appreciate any feedback or assistance with the following. I had made a few WMM movies that were working perfectly for 2-3 weeks, all of a sudden when I play them now, they glitch, or lag or freeze when playing them on any playback program ( Windows Media Player, Itunes, Quicktime etc.).

I tried re-publishing the movie and again, it just glitches, lags or freezes when playing the movies. I thought maybe it was a computer issue, although when I play other videos or movies - no issues.

Can’t upload movies from Windows Live Movie Maker to YouTube

When I try to directly upload a video to YT from WLMM I always get the following error message.
"An unknown error has occurred. Please try again."
I also cannot upload wmv. Format movies to YouTube through their website either

My system
Windows 7 64 bit
Microsoft Security Essentials

Updating NET
Checking codecs
Repairing my Windows Live programs
Ran all Windows updates through control panel

still no success. and I am unable to upload movies to YouTube at all even through their website.

why is it up until now i was able to make short stop motion movies with my 9 year old son using his lego and saving it with no problems.
Approx 5 months on ,we have just made another one in exactly the same way and WMM will save it as a project but not as a movie when finished .
Have windows done an update in the last 5 months that has interfered with WMM ,if so can they put it right please,im only a simple bloke who enjoys making these little movies with my son and then technology frustrates me by not allowing me to do something i used to do!
Computers baffle me as it is ,being im 46 without this sort oof thing happening.

While saving movie in WLMM only audio is saved and no video is available .

  I have made many movies in WLMM and saved them and prepare D V Ds  of movies.  But recently I have come across one problem. While saving movie it    replays only audio and complete screen is Black showing that no videos or pictures are saved. I am held up in my work. Kindly help me to come out of this problem.
