I have a problem with Windows Live Photo Gallery importing images from my old Pentax Optio 330 RS camera which has a Lexar 1GB Compact Flash.  Images are .jpg less than 2MB each.  Does not recognize the camera when it is turned on.  Am I doing something wrong or is there a work around?

I am running on vista and had both windows live photo gallery and windows photo gallery. I prefer windows live but for some reason in the

last 2 weeks live photogallery will not let me edit and says stopped working, windows phot gallery works fine. Is this something to do with vista?

any help available

I've used Photo Fuse a few time but now when I try to access it, it thinks for a few seconds then either shuts down Windows Live Photo Gallery or restarts it. I've tried upgrading from 2011 to 2012 but this has not solved the problem.  I've also tried the Fix program option in Uninstall to no avail.

Can anybody help please?  I'm running Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-21D.
EVERYtime I try to view my photos, the gallery stops responding on the second picture. I have used the fix it tool, tried the manual registry fix & also upgraded to Windows Essentials. Nothing works. VERY frustrating. I'm running Windows 7.
  1. I have stored on an old computer that I just dropped and broke, a heap of photos. when storing them I used windows live photo gallery, and if I remember rightly I had an account with a password and using my email. now I am trying to figure out if I can somehow retrieve these photos using that account some how. please get back to me asap. If this is  not possible would you happen to know if I can maybe take the broken computer into a computer shop or somewhere simular to have the photos and some documents retrieved from the hard drive, please give me some really good news.

Hi Community!

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 and WLPG 2011 Build 15.4.3555.308.

I am trying to get pictures tagged so that I can do a better job managing them.

  • First I select "All Photos and Video" that are in included folders on the left hand nav.
  • Then I select a face off the "Quick Find" bar at the top.
  • It then takes me to a page where I can see all the photos that are tagged as this person.  It also shows me any suggestions to tag this person and there is an option to select "View All Suggestions"- so I click on that.
  • It takes me to Batch People Tagging and I am able to select and confirm the correct tagging options.  Once I have tagged/removed all the pics - It says "All suggestions are confirmed - Searching for more matches..."  I am assuming that it is crawling through more or new folders/pictures that have been added.
  • Eventually it will say "All suggestions have been confirmed" and will stop searching.

My issue is that it appears to only be searching folders that are in the date format such as "2013-09-17 001".  It find folders with pics that I know are already tagged with the same face but these pics are un-tagged and do not show up in the suggestions.  I have discovered that if a folder has a non-date name - it does not get indexed and search by the Batch People Tag process.

Can someone confirm if this is the case and advise if there is a way to configure the indexing?  Any suggestions?  I have a lot of pics I need to tag.

Thanks!

I understand that skydrive will only support certain Video file types for streaming.  However, my question is will Skydrive or some other plug-in (e.g., windows live photo gallery upload to skydrive) do an automatic pre-convert while uploading to skydrive so that the file loaded is in the proper format for streaming.

The goal is to have a seamless and trouble free process whereby I can merely upload videos to skydrive and not worry about the raw video file format.  I do NOT want to have to add another step to convert the file first.  That I already know how to do.

Thanks.
