I have windows 8.1 and windows live essentials 2012. Recently when I go into windows live it stops responding. I cannot click on any of the inbox, sent etc etc and I have to use task manager to close it down. This is happening continuously. I have uninstalled it 3 times and reinstalled 3 times. This doesn't help. Can I download an older version of windows live mail to get a better result or can anybody please help. I don't need messenger movie maker etc - just email which works!!
I often get black bars that appear on my WLM client.  This happens a lot when I am working with the application.  It usually appears when I try to resize a window or when i have it open for awhile.  I usually can close out of it and then it would come back up without issues.  However, it would happen about a half dozen times in a typical 8 hr work day.  I've attached a photo of what I mean by black bars.  I am using Windows 7 64bit and Windows Live Mail 2012.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

I have a new computer running Windows 8.1. I use Windows Live Mail as my email client.
When writing a new message:
1. When I try to place the cursor in the text to add something or make a correction, the cursor jumps to the end.
2. When word is mi-spelt it is underlined in red as usual but right clicking the word does not bring up the spelling options.
Help please.
Howard

I mostly use my laptop with cox communications mail server for my mail account.  My wife uses a pc with Windows Live Mail (she also has a laptop with no email set up yet) which is the center of our home network system.  I want to use a mail, calendar and contact program that can sync my calendar, mail and contacts between the network pc, my laptop, my wife's laptop, my iPhone4s and my wife's iPhone4s.  Is this possible and what program fits our needs the most?  Windows Live, Outlook Express, or MS Outlook?

For medical reasons, I have short-term memory problems.  Having calendars and contacts sync between the computers I use and those my wife uses would be extremely helpful to our family.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

How do I get rid of an error message (554) in which it lists the emails I sent to a misspelled email address (verizen instead of Verizon.net).  The error message pops up every time I log into Live mail and when I log out, a text box pops up asking me if I want to send the messages.

as of two days ago, windows live mail is requesting my login and password every time I open it.  Also, it takes six or seven tries before it accepts my login.  Most times, i get the follwing error message:  "ERR - POP3 server failed to process your request".  I've tried several things, but to no avail.

I'm running this on Windows Vista Premium Home Edition.
