BOB

Using Windows Live Mail 2012, I have created some Groups to send email.  When I enter the Group name and try to send, a message comes up with: The message could not be sent.  Type an email address to one or more recipients in the T;, Cc: or Bcc: boxes.
Windows Live Mail was working fine.  Haven't changed any settings, and have verified them with a colleague.  But suddenly its giving this error when I try to SEND/RECEIVE mails.  Web access to Server is  working fine : www.login.secureserver.net

Hi there, I need a helping hand. I get this error when I try to send email (but I can send)
Server Error: 554

How do I set up distributions in Windows Live Mail? I've looked for a way within contacts (Address Book) to do this, but have been unsuccessful.
Thank you,

WLMail Problem

I am running Windows 7  and Windows Live Mail Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3508.0205)

My problem is, I cannot copy Hyperlinks from a Rich Text email and Paste to another Rich Text email, as after pasting, the links are stripped out.
I also have different size and colored fonts, as well as yellow highlights. This Rich Text is working, just the underlining links are striped out.

I noticed this right after I attempted to shut down the computer and it wanted to do an update before doing so. After the update and restarting the computer, I noticed this problem.

I have tried the repair Essentials option as well as uninstall and reinstall. They did not help.

Can you help with the Copy/Paste problem?

Thanks,

Dave

I have Windows 8.1, Windows Essentials 2012, Windows Live Mail.

1.) Every time I try to send an email with a group address I have to go into Control Panel to repair the Windows Essential 2012.

2.) If I uninstall the Windows Essentials 2012 currently on my PC & then download Windows Essential 2012 from microsoft.com will I lose my Windows Live Mail & all the folders/messages/addresses?

3.) Why does updating Windows not also update Windows Essentials 2012 to eliminate this email problem?

Thank you.

From what I have been able to find out about this problem, MS did not automatically set Windows Live Mail as the DEFAULT mail program, so that when in Adobe PS ver 9, when you select "email photos" it cannot talk to Windows Live Mail. Well, when I check my Default Programs, WLM "is" selected, so why doesn't it accept the photos? I have also read where there needs to be an edit to the Registry in order for Adobe PS ver 9 to work. Before I go messing with the Registry, I want to know if this fix is correct, and does it fix the problem.

Here is the code that is "supposed" to work:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft Internet Mail Message] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft Internet Mail Message\shell] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft Internet Mail Message\shell\open] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft Internet Mail Message\shell\open\command] @="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Windows Live\\Mail\\wlmail.exe /mailurl:%1"

Thank you in advance for any help before I lose what little hair I have on this 75 year old head !!!

Is there a fix to this

Am having a problem moving OE 6 email files from my old PC (XP operating system) to my new PC. I believe I followed the instructions correctly from previous posts which had similar issues. Specifically, I copied the "ENTIRE" OE message store folder on the old PC to a flash drive. I then inserted the flash drive into the new PC which has Windows Live Mail 2012 installed. I then clicked:  Menu Button | Import Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6 and pointed to the folder on the flash drive which contained 48 dbx files. After pointing to the location by selecting Browse, I got the following message: "No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open. Please select another folder or try closing applications that may have files open." Any help as to how to correct this problem would be appreciated. Being a novice, I'm pretty much clueless as to what I should do next. FYI: I'm running Windows 8.1 on the new PC. Thanks
