THIS PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED BY INSTALLING THE NEXT UPDATE.

Windows Live Mail  Windows 7 "The ordinal 459 could not be located in the dynamic line library urlmon.dll

Was working fine, did a Windows Essential upgrade on pop-up prompt, then got this.  Cannot read emails already on drive, did a restore to the state before the upgrade WE.

A few days ago, I got a notice that a Windows Essentials update was available. I ran the update, and Windows Live Mail 2012 became unable to download email from any of my email providers, including Comcast and Gmail. No error message - just the timeout "wait or stop" pop-up. Eventually, WLM would stop responding. I ran a system restore, and WLM is back to downloading email as expected.

I'm running Windows 8.1, although I have not yet been able to install the recent 8.1 update (another frustrating story).

Any one run into the same issue after the Essentials update, and if so, was it resolved?

Thanks!

Have windows live mail installed and have set every setting to plain text in the option menu  but rich text is still displayed in composing new message.

can you help?

How do I have an auto 'Subject' text in Windows Live Mail 2011?

I would like to use a subject text automatically any time I write a new mail in WLM so to avoid typing any time the subject. I would appreciate if anyone could give me an idea on how to do it.

Windows live mail will not let me send emails using my Hotmail account, I see a lot of people are also having this problem but haven't really seen a solution.

This is the error I receive.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail.com (address removed) account. To send and receive messages in your Hotmail account, go to http://hotmail.live.com on the Web, or try again later. To get help from Windows Live Customer Support, go to http://support.live.com and click Windows Live Mail in the list of services.

This happens on 2 different email addresses to the same person (I can receive messages from these addresses, but I can't reply or send them. Previously, I didn't have a problem with these email addresses), and I can send them emails using my wife's computer (also using Windows Live Mail).

Can you help, this is very frustrating.
