I changed the password to my gamil accounts and I added the new password to windows live mail (WLM) for each account. When I open (WLM) it says this

Invalid credentials bc16mb6797665pdb

Configuration:
   Account: Gmail (colombian1414)
   Server: imap.gmail.com
   User name: colombian1414
   Protocol: IMAP
   Port: 993
   Secure(SSL): 1
   Code: 800cccd1

I tried removing all account in window live mail (WLM) and starting over this didn't help so  I've removed WLM from my pc and added it again.

I continue to get the same message as above.

What do I need to do to fix these issues?

Thank you for your help

Hello,

I have recently been having trouble receiving certain messages with photo attachments.

They come from people that I know, and the messages included photos that I wanted to receive.

The attached photos arrive as text instead of as an attachment.

I believe that the messages all came from iPhones.

When I ask the sender to resend the message to a Yahoo mail address which uses my browser instead of Windows Live Mail,

I receive the photos as attachments as intended.

Please explain how to solve this problem, and if possible, how to recover the messages that were sent to ne where I got text instead of attachments.

Thanks.

I have reset my password several times and I'm able to log in via msn.com or Microsoft.com; but I can't log in via windows live mail with my msn email and new password. Can anyone help me as I can't get support from Microsoft directly.  I have called so many numbers and chatted with so many support people; but they all say they can't help me and there seems to be no other alternative to getting support but through this forum. The only way I can get replies is to monitor this forum's website since I can't get my emails from windows live mail anymore. Unless I can log in via msn.com

I have been using WLM 2011 for some time. I'm quite happy with it although sometimes it seems to hang.

Is there any point in upgradein to WLM 2012.

If so, what is the procedure: delete and install or just intall ?

thanks

I have an end user who is running Windows Live Mail (WLM) 2012.  Whenever this user receives an email with a .PNG attachment, he is unable to print the email.  If he clicks on the Print button in WLM, nothing happens.  There is no error message generated.

If the user then clicks on Forward and saves the email in the Drafts folder, then he will be able to print the email.  This is a very strange problem.

I found the following community post which seemed to describe a similar issue:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-program/unable-to-print-emails-with-graphics-in-windows/2687e79f-0076-49b8-a2c1-f1944485c6a0

The Microsoft Forum Moderator suggested updating to WLM 2012.  In my case, the user is already running WLM 2012.

Here are my questions:

1) What troubleshooting steps should I try to identify the cause of this issue?

2) What is the recommended resolution?

When synchronizing mail in Windows Live Mail, I get the following error:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Live (accountname) account.

Server Error: 4102
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00001

When synchronizing mail in Windows Live Mail, I get the following error:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Live (accountname) account.

Server Error: 4102

After a hard drive crash I re-installed windows 7 and Windows Live Mail. Now the Junk Mail filters don't work. No matter how many times I flag a message as junk it still comes through to my inbox. Before the crash a dialog box would appear telling me there was junk mail, then when I clicked on the button all the junk mail was pulled from the inbox and into the junk folder. None of that happens anymore. What can I do to avoid having to go through 60 or 70 emails every day?

I once managed to backup emails following below instructions.

For a successful export, follow these guidelines:

  1. Set Windows Live Mail to Work offline before starting.
  2. Create a temporary folder on your desktop* to contain the exported messages.
  3. In the Export wizard, select the temporary folder and select All folders.**
  4. When it's finished, check that the number of files in each folder within the temporary folder is one more than the number of messages in the corresponding WLMail folder.
  5. Copy the temporary folder to its final destination.
If you use a non-NTFS drive to do this, you will see a warning that some file properties will not be copied with the files. This can be ignored.

Now I am unable back up at all. I have followed others or asked the question several times before but had no success so far.

I would be so grateful, if someone could help me with this issue please?

Thanking in advance.

Hello,

Why is Windows Live Mail suddenly displaying all WordPress blogs in bright yellow, with unclickable links, and some visible code? I've asked WordPress and they have no idea. When I click on any link I get this message:

No apps are installed to open this type of link (ttp).

I'm running Windows 8.

The same blogs appear perfectly normally on my iPad.

Also, all my TED lecture emails have started displaying incorrectly: missing text from both sides, only part of the Play Now button appears making it unclickable. This started after the WordPress problem.

All other emails (personal, blogs, ads, Facebook, etc.), HTML or not, display correctly.

Thanks!
