Due to a hard drive problem we had to purchase a new hard drive.

We installed WLM and we are having a problem with the subject line.

We previously saw part of the message in the subject area

now we only see the subject and have to click it to see the message.

How can we revert back to our previous view of e-mail messages ?

Thank You

Original Title: a TCP/IP error occured while trying to connect the the server

I am receiving this message when I am in Windows Live Mail. It means I am unable to send emails (although I am receiving them).

I suspect the problem has something to do with the fact that, in an effort to speed up my PC, I went into msconfig and Disabled the Start up and Services options. In an effort to solve the problem I tried to Enable All of the Services again but it has not solved the problem.

I am considering a System Restore to a time when WLM was working OK...........

Any other ideas or comments ?

I have outlook and I have windows live... which one do I need? I thought that windows live changed to outlook but I see that I am having trouble with an erros message at times when I try to email from outlook (delta server, message did not send) but the mails do send. And when I go to windows live I see I have many emails still on it that I had deleted from outlook. I would appreciate if someone can tell me what to do to clear this up. I am tempted to just delete windows live program all together but not sure if this is what I should do. Thanks
I finally was able to set up WLM and export folders to my hard drive.  I notice the mail in the hard drive folders can only be opened in WLM and not by Outlook.  I can work with that BUT after copying the folders to my hard drive, can I delete the folders in Outlook with losing the WLM-stored folders?
Windows Live Mail can't connect to Windows Live Calendar service.  05/15/13

There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.

Original Title: Is it possible to remove a Hotmail account from WLM

I have problems receiving mail send to me via Hotmail now integrated with my ancient Windows Live Mail.

This started as a result of me accepting the use of Outlook. com instead of Hotmail.  But Hotmail did not disappear and

instead became the default email account to enter into the ONLINE world of Outlook.com.

My normal not online email account is the one with my local Internet Service Provider.  I manage to move this account (ttmail.com),

into the WLM.  Therefore I resulted with two accounts inside the Windows Live Mail.  The synchronization carried out

by Outlook.com created a chaos on my Contact List, but this is another problem not yet solved that I do not want to

bring it here.

My concern in this thread is to recover the faculty of receiving my Hotmail messages when I open my WLM.

I read in this forum that it is advised to remove both accounts from WLM and put them back again.  But I am afraid

of following such advice because I do not know if I will remain with nothing.!!

This is why I am thinking that something can be done to make sure that my Hotmail messages are also discharged

into WLM or as an alternative, to de-synchronize Hotmail and have it functioning independently as before.

But how such thing will affect the messed up contact list?  God only knows. !!!

Will appreciate opinions on how to solve this problem.

Is it Possible to customize the colors for certain events on Calendar instead of the random colors that pop up?

Windows live mail is BLANK.  NO emails, no sent items, no received items.  Where are they??  I have been using Windows live since Century link stopped using MSN.  I NEED solution to actually get emails and likewise, to send them.  The address book is vacated too?? Is there a real update that fixes this?  If so, where do I look for it?

I have Windows Vista 32-Home premium/ IE 9/ and Windows mail has worked well for quite a while.  I need it to work again.

Windows live messenger likewise is blank...  Do I need to erase this defunct version and reload?  Please advise.

I tried to forward a photo.  The screen disappeared when I pressed "sent." I assumed it was sent.  Error message pops up :Windows Live Mail Error ID: Ox8CCC0003.  The suggested solution is "delete the e-mailed photo and try to re-send."  The issue is, Where is the e-mailed photo?  It is not in the "Sent" box, not in the "In box", not in "junk" "spam", etc.  How can I solve this issue?

Note:  This is happening in Windows Live Mail.  I also have access to e-mail on my Yahoo home page of IE.  I can still send and receive from that mail box.
