I want to use Windows Live Mail to access my email.  I created a new account, entered the incoming and outgoing mail server, and it starts to download the folders from the server.  Its been downloading over an hour now.  I'm connected to high speed internet. How long should this take?
The message could not be sent. The setting for your outgoing email [SMTP] server might need to be configured. To find the server settings for '<Unknown>', please contact your email service provider.

Server Response: 501 #5.1.1 bad address
Server: 'smtp.talktalk.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC79

I cannot send email for all three addresses. The port numbers are the same as on my other system as are all the checked boxes.
Very  frustrating, any advice please.
Thank you.
I just set up my account but I used the wrong number for the outgoing server field, how do I get back to that to correct it.

After installing IE 10 on my PC (windows 7; 64 bits) Windows Live Mail stopped.

After reinstalling the driver for the videocard Nvidia Geforce GTS450, versie 314.22, Windows Live Mail was again at my service.

After restarting the computer I the same story. I have to repeat this every time at the start of my computer.

Is there a definitive solution?

Original Title: Hotmail / outlook server issue with Windows Live

I read thru many of the other posts with print options and I have already repaired Windows Live Mail 2012 and restarted the computer. This did not fix the problem. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Original title: trying to do a group send in the BCC field in Windows Live Mail. Used to work. but recently quit working. Why?? Is MS doing anything to fix this??I'm not the only one.

I am using the latest version of Live Mail.

I create the "category" which is the group distribution list.

Now we create an email, or forward an email, and type the category name into the BCC field.

when I click on send, the curser goes to the TO field , and gives me an error message that I need to type a name into the field to be able to send.

Is Microsoft aware of this problem, and why don't they fix it!!!

I need a solution!!!

NOTE: this used to work fine, but it would appear an update to some FILE has killed this feature of Live Mail 2012.
