For the past two weeks I have been receiving Windows Live Mail only sporadically. Some days I receive no mail. other days only one or two vs. when I check Outlook.com, I have dozens of emails every day.  I also just sent a test email to myself from Live Mail and it has not arrived in my in-box.

About 10 days ago, I received an email that appeared to be from Microsoft indicating that my email had been accessed by someone in Russia and I asked to change my password, which I did.  Since then the problem with receiving email seemed to have gotten worse.  Can you please help resolve this problem?  I much prefer Live Mail and accessing it from my desktop icon than using Outlook on the Internet.  Thanks.

I cannot get online, every time I try this message appears.  "There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative."

Windows Live Mail takes very long to open.  I am using Windows 8.  I have had this computer only a few months now.  Windows Live Mail worked fine, loaded quickly until recently.  Actually, the same applies to Google.  WhaHoppen?  Hope someone can help me, please?

I'm trying out Windows Live Mail (with my regular gmail address) because I don't especially like Thunderbird. But I'm experiencing three problems so far: (1)When I send an email, it automatically gets placed not in the Sent mail folder, which I want, but in the Trash folder, which I don't want, so (2) I don't know if the email was actually sent, and (3) when I send a test email from Live Mail to my academic address, which is set up to forward all emails to my gmail address, the test email never gets forwarded into the Live Mail inbox. Help. If I can't get such elementary problems corrected, I will need to return to Thunderbird, which at least is reliable.

Thanks for any help you can provide!
Is there a resource I can use to help me clean up my Windows Live Mail without having to search through soooooo many posts? Otherwise, here are my multiple questions....

I have a Gmail account that also has my work account added to it. So it seems that my deleted work account emails are only held in my gmail trash folder.

When I created a WLM account with my work account and added my Gmail account, I get multiple copies of emails and only one location of deleted files (I want to save some of them just in case I need them).

SO - I think I like the WLM set up it seems to have lots of nice features, just lacks good help files. This is a current program, correct? I don't want to get it all set up only to find out it's going obsolete like OE.

Ideally, I would like to have Gmail and work accounts totally separate, again. If I remove my work account from Gmail, will my work account be intact in WLM and saving deleted files in the deleted files folder? (I put them both on Gmail because it was the only way I could get them to work properly on my cell phone. - I want to be sure I can get my work account - *** Email address is removed for privacy *** on my cell phone, too.)

I am very afraid of losing work account emails. It would be a disaster. Sorry this is so long. I used to be able to find the answers to my questions in an index. So neat and clean. Now finding help is a whole messy process.....

Thank you to anyone who can help simplify this for me.

Have Windows 8.  Had to use Mozilla Thunderbird because my internet, Cox service, was not compatible. Then downloaded Windows Essentials, & now want to use Windows Live Mail again. Thunderbird has email addresses LDIF contacts code, while Live Mail uses cvs contacts code. Now I want to download my LDIF contacts to Live Mail.  Is there a way to download my LDIF contacts to Live Mail & keep them in the separate Folders instead of downloading all email addresses into All Contacts & then having to put each one into separate Folders again.
