I am using Windows 8 and Windows Live Mail on desktop view to access my emails. I have two email accounts, a Hotmail one and a Btinternet account. I am receiving emails to both accounts appropriately but about 5 minutes after an email correctly arrives in my Btinternet account a duplicate copy appears in my Hotmail account. Why is a duplicate being forwarded to my Hotmail account and how do I stop this happening? I can't work out if it is a problem with Hotmail, Windows Live Mail or with Btinternet.

Thanks for your help

Like many others here I am suddenly unable to send or receive from my default msn.com account in Windows Live Mail running under Windows 7, receiving the above message when I attempt to do so.  I have tried:

1. Removing and adding back the acount
2. Uninstalling Windows Live Mail, deleting all associated registry entries, reinstalling Windows Live Mail
3. Opening a new Outlook account, logging in with that, logging out, trying original account again
4. Following the "Resolve Machine Reconfiguration Issues" steps ( REGSVR32 initpki.dll is missing on my computer)
5. Turning off firewall

None of these make any difference.  The account is still accessible on the Outlook website, and my other msn.com address still works in Windows Live Mail.  Any help fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

All of the sudden tonight I can not access Outlook.com (msn email) via Windows live mail. It was fin the other day. I get msg. Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (larrym6833) account.

Server Error: 3204

I can't stand the stripped down version of Mail on Windows 8. I really hate Outlook.com even more. Windows Live Mail was a perfect option for me and others of my generation.

I really liked using Windows Live Mail on my Windows 7 laptop. When I purchased my Windows 8 laptop I tried to download Windows Live Essentials on it and got a message already downloaded, but I can't find it when I search apps. Is this referring to Mail already on the Windows 8 system. YUK!

Advice please!

"Blocked" sender and/or domain is a misnomer.  E-mails are not blocked.  They are either routed to the spam folder or automatically deleted.  Using Windows Live Mail 2011, are "blocked" e-mails routed to the spam folder or automatically deleted?

My email worked ok until yesterday when I started to get error message 0x80004005 when trying to send/receive emails.  This is only happening on my laptop and emails work fine on my desktop.  I've tried repairing Windows Live and also removed and reinstalled but this hasn't worked.  Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to register software with manufacturer but gets rejected because registration email address is not in 'preferred sender list'.

Is there such a list in Windows Live Mail?
