So I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone, but I've had Windows Mail and Movie Maker installed on my computer (Windows 7) and I uninstalled Mail because I got Outlook. I did this using REVO uninstaller (which removes all files leftover) but I must have turned my computer off during the process or something stopped it working fully. The outcome is that Mail as a program on the taskbar is still there but I can't use it because of a missing WLDCore.dll and Movie Maker for some reason has disappeared. So I thought to uninstall it again, but it's not there. I then went to install it again and so I selected the 'Choose the programs I want to install' option but it said Mail and Movie Maker is already installed. I've looked everywhere on my computer for the files and can't find anything. I decided to download Windows Live Messenger so I could uninstall it and hopefully kill-off some of the leftover files of the other programs, but after clicking on it, it says missing wldlog.dll and it's the same story as the Windows Live Mail (even though I've just installed it).

Basically my goal is to have Movie Maker and Mail working. Also, I've had SkyDrive working the whole time during this which is also odd.

Comments and advice would be much appreciated, cheers.

Windows Live Mail 2012 had the yellow triangle error message in bottom right corner of screen where it says 'working online'.  I could tell I wasn't connected to server or getting new emails.  I closed WLM and reopened, now in bottom right corner next to 'working online' it says 'updating calendar' and continues to loop this message.  Anybody else come across this?

How can I recover lost contacts from windows live mail

Unfortunately, my new computer came with Windows 8. With the help of my husband I have downloaded the fix, so maybe I now have Windows 8.1 . Because I volunteer as Chair of a local but widespread group, I need to create a mailing list for that group so that I can advertise/promote a scholarship opportunity. I need to include names and titles on the list so I can recognize and contact them next year (most likely these are people I will never meet). I have the email addresses, but in Windows Live Mail I don't see a logical way to create an emailing list.

Once I have the emailing list, I will need to paste or attach a Word document to the mass emailing.

Any help will be much appreciated.
All I want to do is reset the password for Windows Live Mail and I keep getting the message via email:  "We are unable to reset your password because you have not provided enough information."
All I want to do is reset the password for Windows Live Mail and I keep getting the message via email:  "We are unable to reset your password because you have not provided enough information."

My Windows Live Mail 2012 has been working fine up until a few says ago.  Now I can receive emails but I cannot reply to incoming emails and I cannot compose anew email from scratch.  II get an error message which says the following: " A problem occurred while trying to open this message.  A problem has occurred.  Please try again."

I called my internet provider (Bell) and they checked things out and said it is a problem with Windows Live Mail.  They gave me a 1 800 number to Microsoft.  After playing ring around the rosy on two separate occasions and being on the phone for a long time I was finally told they could do nothing.  The lady suggested that I come to this sight and seek help.

Bell told me that I might have to re-install the Windows Live Mail but that would mean I would lose all of my contact info and my stored emails.  I do not want that to happen.  Does anybody have any ideas

Can anyone help? I wish to save email folders (and all the emails contained therein) to either my pc hard drive or to my skydrive.
I am using hotmail on outlook.com
I have searched for hours on here to find how to do this and just cannot find a solution that works.
One 'solution' mentioned using the 'file' tab on windows live mail, but I don't have one, and on my skydrive (accessed from outlook.com)
I only seem to get the option to save files from my pc and not email folders.
I am getting increasingly frustrated trying to find the answer to what should be a simple question.
Hopefully someone out there can help ?
Since yesterday I have found that if I try to send an email with an attachment it automatically sends the email 43 times and the recipients receive all 43 attempts but not the attachments? Anyone any ideas, I've got Norton Antivirus and it can't find anything.
