Previous title - Movie Maker Help!

Can anyone help?
My windows live mail on my laptop won't download or send emails any more.  I get this message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Btinternet (mouche4) account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No

I can use webmail to look at my emails, and my iphone.
After looking online, I have repaired windows essentials and unticked my internet security email scanning.
I created a movie yesterday using the original movie maker that came pre-installed on my HP Pavilion 6 desktop PC. I am on Windows 7. When I burnt the video to DVD, it wouldn't play on a DVD player, or someone else's computer. Looking at the forums I was recommended to upgrade Movie maker. I did using the Windows essentials. Now I can't open Movie maker at all. I get a message saying I need to check my system requirements. I have the latest updates, and my Intel graphics card seems to be ok. I can't use the Intel site to upgrade because they say that the card is a custom card and needs to be upgraded via the PC manufacturer's site where there doesn't seem to be any upgrades available. Please assist.

Using Microsoft Windows Essentials: Photo Gallery
How do, can I merge two photos to create one photo?
E.g. A photo of the 'north' bank of the River Thames, London, and a photo of the 'South' bank of the River Thames, London taken from same location, day?
With a 'link' in the two photos, provided by a bridge running across the middle, useful for matching one side to the same level as the other?

If Microsoft Windows Essentials: Photo Gallery does not yet have a 'Photo Merge' option/tool?
Perhaps it could be put on the Microsoft Windows Essentials: Photo Gallery 2014 Update list?
I am trying to install MovieMaker on my daughter's laptop. In order do that, I must first install Windows Essentials. The install stops and asks her to sign in to her Windows account, then says she needs parental permission. I dont see a way to give that parental permission, so we cannot proceed with the install process. How can I give parental permission?

I can't update Windows Security Essentials get error code 0x800A0046,and my Windows Update isn't working either and get code 0x80070005. I have tried for the last two weeks to fix these error using various Microsoft support programs and various other programs I found on the net. I  ran sfc.exe but nothing has worked. All was working until I started my computer up the next day and then these problems occurred. I know what the error code means but can't find a SIMPLE or even a fix for these error codes. I ran Troubleshooting on windows update and it noted all was OK but when I went into details I notice something weird:   it said "Troubleshooting problem preventing windows update" I really don't know what this means or if it is even relevant. When I tried to update Windows Security Essentials I also get the same error code I get for windows update 0x80070005. I have tried System Restore but the problems remain. I don't know what has caused the updating problems blmeut they are starting to affect some other programs that require updating. I really need a simple explanation of why this happened and a SIMPLE set of instructions if someone knows how to repair these problems because I am not that computer literate. I don't have a reinstall disk either.

I am using Acer notebook with windows professional 64 bit with internet explorer 11. Thanks and I hope someone knows how to repair these errors.

I have a new laptop that came with Windows 8.1. I downloaded Windows Essentials and Windows Movie Maker Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3508.0205) won't play the video from VOB files. The Audio does play. I had Windows 7 previously and the VOB files played just fine.

I copy the file from the DVD and store it on the computer before trying to play it. The file will play just fine in Windows Media Player, VLC Media Player and Windows Photo Gallery. I tried selecting the file in Photo Gallery and then selecting Create, Movie and it opens the file in Movie Maker but will NOT show the video. I did download the KLite Codec pack but that did not help.

I did download FreeMake file converter to convert the file to WMV, however that is an extra step and now I end up with 2 large files instead of 1.

I did run a repair on Windows Movie Maker through the Control Panel but that didn't fix it.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Whenever I try to download Windows Live Movie Maker here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/movie-maker#t1=overview I get Windows Essentials.  The first time I downloaded that, but afterwords, I couldn't find Essentials on my computer.  I tried to download it again and got the same file...I thought that was supposed to be the download for Windows Live Movie Maker, not Essentials?  I know Movie Maker is included in Essentials, but I just can't find it and all my computer does is offer to update it when I search for it on the Start menu.

Overall, after downloading Essentials, I can't find it anywhere, nor can I find Movie Maker if that's supposed to be downloaded with it.

I'm assuming I'm just missing a small step, but I need a little help here.

If you need information about my computer, it's a Samsung notebook running i5 (there must be more, but I don't know anymore than that).
Hi

Needed to rotate part of a video taken with a phone in vertical and then the owner twisted/rotated to landscape. I went to use the 'pre-installed' Live Movie Maker on my computer and opened the program but it kept crashing and had to be closed. Usual Windows message; windows is searching for a solution etc., etc., and then the error reports sent to report the problem.

Tried to do a repair in Control Panel to Windows Essentials but had to uninstall and then reinstall as the 'repair' failed.

Downloaded Windows Essentials 2012 and installed but the Windows Live gallery & movie maker do NOT list in my programs via the Start menu.

Try to do individual installations of the parts but get a window showing that ALL the components ARE installed. I have re-booted after installation and RE-installation but still am unable to find Movie Maker - live or otherwise.

Have done a search on the computer and it just leads me to Windows Essential which, when clicked on to get to, just takes me back on line to Windows Essentials information and download.

I do have Photo Gallery and wonder if it is accessed via that program? If so then it's NOT that clear that it has to be accessed from there to open it to make a movie!

Answers appreciated.

I'm using Windows 7 Premium, 64 bit, Intel i7, 8GB ram...
