Is anyone else still unable to access Hotmail? Microsoft says that it has solved the problem but I still can't log in, since this morning. Keep getting "unavailable" messages, or it says the problem has something to do with my mobile device, but I am not logging in from a mobile device.

I have used Hotmail account many, many, many years through Internet Explorer.  It was about a month+ I began having problems due to YOUR change with the Hotmail/Outlook.com account with Internet Explorer.  In fact, I was in hotmail with IE 8 doing AOK, signed off then went to access a couple hours later (same day) and POOF-problems.  It has been several months now I am unable to access Hotmail receiving this message ....."Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later".......  Prior to this I was able to access/open account yet missing tabs like reply, send etc, and could not see my folders.

Firefox I have no problems with my Hotmail account.  I am more comfortable with IE 8 and would prefer to continue through IE. Do you have a fix?

My computer is:

  • Windows 7 Ultimate
  • IE 8---I must keep IE 8 due to compatibility issues with American Red Cross Programs.  Hotmail was working just fine with IE 8
  • 2010 Microsoft Office Professional

I'm having the same problem as others in that I can't access my hotmail either through my desktop shortcut or google.  MSN isn't displaying properly when I go through google and am panicking as it's my only email and need to access. I get the log in page and put in email address and password but then get "page can't be displayed" make sure address correct etc.

This page can't be displayed

Make sure the web address http://sn117w.snt117.mail.live.com is correct

Look for the page with your search engine

FIX CONNECTION PROBLEMS

Tried internet settings and TLS 1.0 and SSL 3.0 are ticked but there are other TLS and SSL ones not ticked. Was OK yesterday. Only thing I did yesterday was a back up for first time - not sure that would make a difference?  Any help please as need to access.  I'm on Windows 7.  Hope I've done this right it's my first time on here, not sure if I picked the right topic.  It says on status Hotmail working OK but mine obviously isn't.  I'm worried at the issues since upgrade to outlook and whether I should have another email. If I got a G mail too can you divert your Hotmail emails to G mail in case it happens again? and therefore access email through either?  Obviously I need to get this sorted first.  Many Thanks

For 4 days now, I've been unable to access Hotmail. I got a message that"this is probably not the site you're looking for!"The tab states that it's an "SSL Error".
Apparently, I've reached server https://bay154.mail.live.com/default.aspx instead of bay154.mail.live.com.  This occurs in my main browser Google Chrome as well as Firefox. I cleared cookies and temp files from both my browsers, changed my passwords, ran my Kaspersky protection program, and  tried several system restore points on this computer, but this warning page remains.I can access Hotmail on my smartphone and  office PC,but it's very inconveinet to use that option regularly.
when I click inbox in my windows live messenger window, it doesn't take me to inbox like previously did? can someone help me in this?

In trying to recover my e-mail account is difficult because it was way too many years ago that I opened it up and the country state and zip code I'm not sure where I opened the account, in the US or Mexico, also the secret question is not correct because it asks me for my grandfathers occupation and he's been dead for years, I always put a pets name or something easier, what else can I do to regain it back since I have all my business clients information in this account, call me if you can or I can call you and I will answer anything you ask me, I hate not speaking with someone.
