Everytime I open the windows live mail. Whenever I opened it from the start screen. It always stuck in the splash screen. Tried to restart my pc, end the process thru the task manager because it just freeze on my desktop. The windows live mail will just come up in front in my desktop then it would minimize the app that i am currently using.

OS: Windows 7

Beginning 4 days ago, Windows Live Mail 2012 does not start properly.  The splash screen comes up, it says "starting" and the green circle whirls around.  It is downloading my mail, but never opens to any screen other than the opening splash screen.
I am running WIn 7 home premium 32 bit, on a Dell which had Vista (I installed 7 over it). Running Norton Antivirus, Iolo System mechanic and had installed super antiSpyware as well.  All of these had been running for weeks to years without problems, but Saturday the mail goes down.

Thus far, I have tried several fixes including an uninstall through control panel and reinstall from the website.  I have also tried opening the mail app offline (no go either) and have tried disabling Norton and spyware as well, still no opening.  So what now?

Outlook is hung up at the product splash screen with the message "Searching for identity...". How do I resolve issue. All other Office applications function properly?
I get the splash screen and then it simply closes. Using MS Mountain Lion, MS Office 2011. Tried using the option key start no joy. Looked at Library preferences no Outlook, just office licensing - I uninstalled and reloaded Outlook, still not working. Updates were installed... What am I doing wrong?? Help
