I have successfully merged skype and messenger and can now see my esisting messenger contacts, but I can't seem to add new messenger contacts.
Yesterday I wanted to add someone who only has a messenger address and is not on Skype, the system only seems to allow me to add skype contacts. Also, the person I wished to add tried adding me to their messenger contacts using my messenger address. It seemed
to work from their end but I didn't receive any contact requests.
How do I add new messenger only contacts?
I merged Skype with Windows Live Messenger. I signed in with my Microsoft account and show me only the Skype contacts. All Windows Live Messenger contacts are not showing. I was 45 minutes with a Skype agent chatting, didn't found any solution. I check
peoplelive.com and It shows only the Skype contacts. Where are my Windows Live contacts? When I updated Skype, my Windows Live Messenger is not anymore in my computer.
I would need to see it, Skype, tell me via pop-up balloon notification when new emails gets to my inbox like that which happens with Messenger.
With Messenger becoming part of skype will this make any difference to Hotmail?

Depuis le basculement de Messenger vers Skype, je ne peux plus me connecter à mon compte Messenger Skype ! ??? Un message d'alerte me signale la phrase suivante : " Désolé, vous ne pouvez pas vous connecter à votre compte". Que dois je faire ??? car je n'ai plus accès à l'ancienne version de Messenger sur lequel j'aurai pu accéder à mon compte.

I heard via email from the Messenger Team that MSN will be terminated globally soon except mainland china, since MSN is joining with SKype.
Is the email hotmail still going to stay too? Or are all emails going to be terminated also???
Please let me know soon so I can adjust my email contacts to another mail early enough.

I do not have skype nor do I have a cell phone. Hotmail looks like it is discontinuing to be of service. Should I look for another server of email? Anyone have another server suggestion ?? Thank you.

I saw online about merging current Windows Live Messenger accounts with Skype, and I am keen on getting this done quickly.
However, I am a bit confused... Do i merge Skype with my hotmail account *(edwal****) or just use my newly-merged Outlook account *(idwal) instead?
