Skydrive adds wrong e-mail address for member after invitation

Hi,

I'm owner of a skydrive group, which is basically only using the email list feature of the group.

I've been able to add people, and they get the emails sent out to the group email address, except one :

This user has a gmail account, and an invitation sent to that user seems to arrive ok. The problem is though

that immediately a different User and Email address shows up in the Skydrive members list. This email address is a hotmail address.

I think the latter User and Email address might have been used to accept an invitation before (unsure), but then this user changed to a gmail address.

If I remove the user and send a new invitation to the gmail account, I still get the wrong user/e-mail in the member list.

Could it be that the hotmail/gmail are somewhat linked (i.e. forwarding of e-mail from gmail -> hotmail) or similar, so that the acceptance

comes from hotmail?

Any possibilities to get the right User and Email address there ?

Skydrive problems

I uploaded photos from my PC to Skydrive on my desktop. The only time I can see the photos is when I am on my desktop. If I access

SkyDrive through outlook.com, it doesn't show the photos. It says I have not uploaded any photos (or documents) to Skydrive. What is up with this? I thought I could access my files from anywhere on different computers even. Can't do that. In fact the outlook.com app on my Samsung tablet, there isn't even an option to access anything but my inbox (no Skydrive or Calendar link). I was switching over to Outlook and SkyDrive, but am about ready to go back to Google and Dropbox. This has been an exercise in frustration (as is Windows 8 on a desktop)! SkyDrive Pro 2013 seems useless in this regard also. And trying to figure out how to ask this question was frustrating also. I had to go to the help screen to find out,. What is wrong with have a direct link on the page instead of going to the search box? Stupid if you ask me. Getting too fancy MS - keep it simple!

SkyDrive doesn’t Sync

When I check SkyDrive in notification area, it appears "hung-up". It has shown { SkyDrive Downloading 774.2 MB of 774.2 MB, 1 file remaining} for the last (2) hours? Files I modified over 12 hours ago, still have not updated??

Skydrive memory keeps rising

Skydrive on my laptop will just keep increasing in memory and won't stop. I have to kill the process. It rises to over 1.4GBs. This doesn't happen on my desktop and on my desktop the memory usage is only 38m.

long file names

I am using Skydrive on my Macbook.The only problem I have is the limit for long file names. Skydrive gives error message for files over 256 characters. Is there any work towards improving this short-coming of Skydrive since all other cloud programs like Google Drive, Amazon, Sugar synch do not have any limitations like this one...

Notebook files can’t be accessed on Skydrive?

I've uploaded Smart Notebook files for interactive whiteboard, but now can't open or down them from my work laptop. Skydrive tells me the file can't be downloaded? Generally I just double click to open my files, when I do that, Skydrive says it can't be downloaded, and I get a message saying it can't be opened. I have the same Notebook software on both my personal and work laptop. Everything else works just fine.

SkyDrive – Did Not Auto Renew?

I purchased 20Gb of SkyDrive storage last year.

In my account management it states:

Every year, your account will be charged a recurring fee of £6 (VAT included). Charges are not refundable unless required by law. Prices are subject to change.

I received a notification to say that my term was about to expire. In light of the above and the fact that there was no renewal option under account management I assumed that my SkyDrive account would auto renew.

Today I have received an e-mail to say my storage purchase has expired.

I can't actually order again as the account only gives me the option of 50Gb and above.

What do you have to do to get an auto-renewing subscription?

SkyDrive crashed on restart. Reinstall crashes with error code 0x80040ca1

I restarted my computer (Windows 7), and SkyDrive crashed afterwards. I tried to start it up manually but it kept crashing within seconds after opening a Windows Explorer window to its directory. I uninstalled SkyDrive and downloaded the new setup file from MS's website. Tried running it both as a regular user and as an Administrator, but the install process crashes at the end with error code 0x80040ca1.

Any ideas? The comment in the other thread about retrieving an older setup file from <AppData> didn't work.

N.B.: One unusual thing about my set-up is that my user folder C:\Users\<username> is on a different physical drive and paths are preserved using a symlink. This has caused problems with some software in the past, though never with a Microsoft product before.

Problem uploading to Skydrive from Windows Phone to Macbook Air

I have uploaded photos from my windows phone to Skydrive but my Skydrive folder on my Macbook Air is completely empty. I have tried several times. Each time I get the message on my phone that the upload has been successful. Can you help?
