SkyDrive not displaying in Notification area

I just recently updated to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. File syncing was slow but finally finished. Now I can't get SkyDrive or the Microsoft Office Document Cache to appear in the Notification area. I have the SkyDrive app open also (although I shouldn't have to open this if I'm using the SkyDrive folder in an Explorer window).

I have turned on both of these notifications to Show icon and notifications but neither show up in the Notification area.

Also, I copied a file to a SkyDrive folder (using Explorer window, not SkyDrive app) and an hour later, this file is still not synced (the file is 60kb).

Since I installed Windows 8.1 in June, Skydrive has not worked correctly.  Not syncing from pc to web at all.  And no skydrive icon in the notification area on the task bar.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the desktop and the metro apps at least twice, but nothing has changed.
Any help would be very appreciated.   :)

my skydrive folder in PC won't sync with Skydrive, I am unable to find it in the notification area. I can't find the skydrive apps under control panel, uninstall a program. Try to re-install but receive error code: 0x80070005. Tried using sysedit to remove all Skydrive related file and folder, still can't re-install it.

I am running Windows 8.1 Preview.  I uninstalled and reinstalled SkyDrive (desktop version) to my PC, and I still cannot get the Icon to appear in the Notification area of the taskbar.  I went into "Customize", and it wasn't there either.  Also, the files on "skydrive.live..com" are not the same as the files on the Windows 8.1 SkyDrive App, and there is no "Sync" button.

When I check SkyDrive in notification area, it appears "hung-up". It has shown { SkyDrive Downloading 774.2 MB of 774.2 MB, 1 file remaining} for the last (2) hours? Files I modified over 12 hours ago, still have not updated??

Skydrive has stopped syncing. There is no skydrive icon in the notification area on the right side of the task bar, on any of the computers it's installed on.

Hello.

I have been waiting for about two weeks Skydrive to Sync. The last time I saw the Skydrive notification area, it said 16 Gb of 30Gb, more or less, and for 2 days it stayed the same. I reboot the computer so Skydrive restart looking for changes but since I did that, the message is always the same "Processing Changes", without any additional information.

My Internet connection is very stable, it's a working computer and it's always connected by cable to a wide bandwith network.

¿How can I get some more information about what's causing problems?

I can see log files but they are useless for me.
