I just uploaded photos from my SD card into my photo library.  I have windows 8, and I'm unable to edit my pictures.  When I right click a photo, a toolbar at the bottom comes up saying set as, delete, rotate, and crop. There is absolutely no editing button so that I can fix redeye. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Just got a new HP Splitx2, running Windows 8.  Uploaded all my docs and some photos to SkyDrive by dragging & dropping them into Skydrive folder. All went fine, although it took more than 24 hours for photos to upload. OK. Went to upload additional photo files and noticed they did not automatically begin to upload to the cloud, as the previous ones had. In other words, I was able to drag & drop them into Skydrive folder, but then nothing happens.  They do not show up in the Skydrive App with my previously uploaded photos. Then, I noticed I could no longer find the Skydrive icon on my desktop toolbar.  I clicked Hidden Icons and it's no longer there!

1) Why didn't additional photo files upload to cloud as previous ones did?

2) Why did icon disappear?

3) Is any of this due to fact that I may have previously uploaded 7 MB?

4) If so, shouldn't there be some kind of notification vs. just making the icon disappear and still allowing me to drag things into the Skydrive folder?

5) If so, is there a way to buy more storage?

Until recently Skydrive has worked great for me.  But this past weekend I began having issues with uploaded photos - both past and new.

When I now open a folder, random thumbnails are blank and random photos cannot be viewed. Sometimes I can view a blank thumbnails photo (and sometimes not). Sometimes a viewable thumbnail won't open.

I've attempted to upload specific folders various ways - directly into Skydrive.com, with the Skydrive app, all files directly (without the folder) etc.

I've also attempted to load specific files in various formats (jpg, png, tiff) with same results. With each new upload the files with issues can vary.

As mentioned above, this issue affects both new uploads as well as existing.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled the Skydrive app and Silverlight.  I've completely emptied and reloaded Skydrive.com - issue is still present.  I see this has been an issue for others - hope a solutions is available.

Thanks

I have uploaded photos from my camera roll into Skydrive on my ipad. Then when I view them online on my desktop, I do not see where they are extracting text. How do I turn this feature on?

About 6 months ago (estimated) and before that, in Skydrive, when we uploaded photos, we could check or uncheck a box to tell Skydrive to upload the original file or to upload a smaller (compressed ?) file.   The smaller file was big enough to provide a nice photo on a computer screen and to print 5x7 type photos.

I do not see that option now.

Do we have to upload the original file photo size ?

My camera uses about 4 MB for each photo file.

OK.

But I do not need to save that on Skydrive.

About 1 MB seems fine to me.

Thanks.

I uploaded photos from my PC to Skydrive on my desktop.  The only time I can see the photos is when I am on my desktop.  If I access
SkyDrive through outlook.com, it doesn't show the photos.  It says I have not uploaded any photos (or documents) to Skydrive.  What is up with this?  I thought I could access my files from anywhere on different computers even.  Can't do that.  In fact the outlook.com app on my Samsung tablet, there isn't even an option to access anything but my inbox (no Skydrive or Calendar  link).  I was switching over to Outlook and SkyDrive, but am about ready to go back to Google and Dropbox.  This has been an exercise in frustration (as is Windows 8 on a desktop)!  SkyDrive Pro 2013 seems useless in this regard also.  And trying to figure out how to ask this question was frustrating also.  I had to go to the help screen to find out,.  What is wrong with have a direct link on the page instead of going to the search box?  Stupid if you ask me.  Getting too fancy MS - keep it simple!
Yesterday (9/6/12), I uploaded photos and created a folder on Skydrive to send as an attachment to an email. When I did that, the normal bodied text of my email changed to a left-handed margin column of one word, all the way down the page. I had to cut and paste to get a good looking email. Today looking at my Hotmail, everything is strung out in a similar fashion as yesterday. I'm wondering if Skydrive is causing this? Have no idea how to fix it!? Anyone else experience a problem with Skydrive?
