Hi,

i have moved from Outlook on PC to Outlook 2011 for Mac.

I open an email message and then want to store it into a sub-folder.
I click the "Move" icon.  From there I have 2 issues:

Issue #1 - I have to type in a Search to find the folder I want.  I would much prefer seeing the folder tree and picking the right destination.  Search would be good only as an addition to being able to view the folder tree.

Issue #2 - On my PC, when I "move" an open message, Outlook immediately closes the message.  Outlook on my Mac does nothing.  Once I have read the message and decided to "Move" it, i would like Outlook to close the message as it does on my PC version.

Cheers,

Terry

I am receiving a message “No results found” when I try to use the SEARCH function in Hotmail or Outlook.com.

My Sent Items folder does not show sent emails. (All other folders work fine, including Deleted Items--I see contents in them all.) While in Sent Items, if I type into "Search This Folder" the email address of the person I just sent a message to, all of the sent messages to that person appear. What is going on--why can I not see all Sent Items right away? This is very inconvenient. I am not networked--I just have a single Mac Pro machine. I have updated Office a couple of times now and the problem persists. I've scoured the web and this site and cannot find the answer. Does anyone know how to make all Sent Items appear?
The search option to find other emails from the same contact comes back none found?

Hotmail is useless without a fully functional Search.

How do I get the Search back?

What's up Support!

I'm getting complaints from my users when they click on the 'Search This Folder' field (upper right hand corner of main Outlook window)  In Outlook on the Mac to search for email and the SPINNING BALL OF DEATH begins. Outlook then becomes unresponsive forcing the user, at times, to FORCE QUIT Outlook. WHICH I HATE!!!!

I've been able to recreate the problem myself, on their workstations, but with a little patients Outlook eventually becomes responsive.

We're New Yorkers. Thus... no one is patient here!

I can't seem to figure out whats causing it.

Can someone point us in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I'm facing problem in refreshing/synchronizing the mail addresses, stored in the server, as previously the contacts were getting synchronized but after repairing my os and updating it, this function is not working ?
The contact search (cmd+O) is showing no list.

Kindly help.

I can't search in hotmail on this computer. i get the following result:  "We didn't find any results for "subject:      "

I have tried the Explorer browser and Google Chrome browser.

I am able to search in hotmail on my other computer.

What should i do to get the hotmail search function to work again on this computer??  Thanks.

certain contacts cannot be found by using Search. The "details" and "organization" tabs for these contacts contains the message "The contact cannot be found in the directory".  We are using 2011 outlook for MAC and MS Exchange Server.
