Retrieve Messages

There are messages which I'm missing...I don't really know if I were the one who deleted them completely or they just disappeared from my index
So, is there is a way to retrieve those emails?

I do not have a delete folder on the left hand side of my email. By mistake I deleted an email and now I cannot retrieve it. Please help.

I tried to map another mailbox e.g. *** Email address is removed for privacy *** but kept getting an error message. "Authentication failed because Outlook doesn't support any of the available authentication methods". Error code: 17897. 

How can I solve this problem? Please help.
