All the folders in my Outlook Inbox (was Hotmail) have completely disappeared! I only have the basics such as Inbox, Junk, Drafts, Sent and Deleted now. Does anyone know why this has happened and how I can get them all back? They were there earlier today and I haven't updated anything. Thanks!
After my recent upgrade to Win8.1, my Outlook inbox started having a weird symptom. When I select accounts setting to download emails for a limited period of time eg. "last month", my recent and latest emails will be shown in the Inbox. If however I select download emails for "any time", the most recent email shown in my Inbox will be 9th Oct. I tried to switch between the settings many times, and it keeps repeating the same problem. I restarted windows, same problem. I sent a new test email to my hotmail account. Same problem. The irony is that I even received a new email notification but my Inbox still does not show the new email when I select download emails from "any time" setting.

I used my Win XP PC and everything works fine! Seems like WIn8.1 is messing up Outlook ...

This may also be related to several users saying they have not been receiving emails lately ??

Separately, when I try to access my outlook folders (set up prior to win 8.1 upgrades), it will first show it is empty, then it shows "couldn't sync messages", then after a while it will show "no messages" and then after few more minutes, all the emails in the folder will show up. Though still able to access the mails eventually, it is really a nuisance ....

After installing Windows 8.1 and after downloading an update for Microsoft Office, all the email in my Outlook inbox have been deleted. There is no "Deleted Items" folder. All email in "Sent" is still here. What happened? Can the missing email be retrieved? My ISP does not have them.
Hotmail messages on Mac Mail work fine.
From the web, accessing Outlook, inbox folder, messages stay for a week Then disappear. Not sure where they are actually stored automatically.
This influences my iphone. It automatically gets rid of messages older than 1 week, even when all settings on iphone are 'unlimited'.

Good Morning sir

I have a problem associated with my outlook inbox of ads, I was  using outlook for the past 5 years ads didn't appear in my inbox until yesterday but today I open my inbox ads appear in my right side, its is irritating me how can I recover from these

I keep getting a popup message that my messages are in my POP folder (I don't even know what the POP folder is). When I try to fix it by clicking on "Change settings" I get a message saying "Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Outlook right now".  Because my messages are being put in this POP folder I can no longer download attachments to new messages.  Does anyone know what I can do about these problems?
I've had my Outlook e-mail for about 6 months now and all of a sudden this week my mail from my old AOL account stopped showing up in my Outlook inbox. I haven't changed any settings on either account. I am receiving dozens of e-mails on my AOL account every day but they don't show up in my Outlook inbox.
Hi all,

I recently upgraded to Outlook (or was forced to, rather!) from Hotmail, I was under the impression that it was simply the interface that changed not the destination or accessibility of the mail sent for my Hotmail account. Is this correct?

Since I've upgraded, I thought that I would continue receiving said mail from various places i.e. if I buy something online where I was already signed up with my hotmail account, the receipt or ticket would come through to the new inbox?

I don't seem to be able to access my hotmail account - even when I go into the Outlook security settings and try to verify my hotmail account it says it has sent the verification code to my hotmail email address - which I cannot for the life of me find to sign into!!!

I'm totally baffled and would really like some help (not to mention access to the plane tickets and concert tickets etc that I have bought via my hotmail account!!!!)

Have tried restoring mail but there is no mail to restore and no new mail is incoming.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Paige

Having problem today with viewing messages in 'Inbox'. Everything okay yesterday, and switched on as normal today. 'Inbox' says that I have 4 messages, but am unable to read / they haven't downloaded onto the 'message' board. All previous messages are still accessible / displayed.

I have reviewed internet connections and security and all seem to be working correctly.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards

JB
