So I keep trying to edit videos in movie maker I use the same video recording software I have used for ages and have never had any problems but recently after an update Movie maker would get stuck loading "audio data" the one time I got past this it wouldn't let me view the preview or move forward or edit the footage.
I have already reinstalled it any ideas how to fix it?
Hello everyone, i tried uploading some gameplay from fraps to movie maker, then i uploaded to youtube in nice 720P but it said 66 hours to upload????
So i saved it as a youtube file and then it only took 40 minutes... but its in 480P and blurry.
Can anyone help me upload good quality but keep upload and process time down still?
My wifi isnt great and im not very technical no please dumb the answers down please.

i need help
i do a project on movie maker and i try it it works great, but when i save it to my computer , and then i try to open it , it opens but sound without pictures , it doesn't show pictures that i added them , what is the probelm , help me please...........

I have a dell laptop with windows 8. But windows essentials 2012 which is required to access movie maker is not installing. I tried installing it many times but it is not working.
Any suggestions ?

i downloaded windows movie maker yesterday and here's the issue: i can import wmv files (i converted all my video files to wmv via freemake which i thought would be fairly reliable; i even converted all the ones that are already wmv into new wmv files via freemake, which is very telling of my level of desperation) into the movie maker, i can play them (there's audio AND video) in the 'collection' box directly, but once i drag it into the timeline to be edited and i play the video in the timeline, there is NO video. i can still hear the audio part but the video itself blacks out, which is very puzzling because it plays just fine when i'm not trying to edit it. i hope i make sense...
my laptop is barely two months old and i use windows 8.1. i downloaded the maker from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows7/products/features/movie-maker yesterday.
would really, REALLY appreciate help; many thanks in advance!
I've spent enormous amounts of time trying to trim my movies without success.
I know how to cut the start or the end off a video but how do I trim multiple bits in the middle?
Any help would be appreciated
