I saved my movie in a WMV file.  When I play the movie in Windows Movie Maker, some of the shots are showing in green.  What is going on?  I am using Movie Maker 2012 in Windows 8.
I created a snagit video and sent it utilized movie maker's narration function. After narrating the narration the file saved as a wma.  I saved my work to "video's". Later wanting to edit the narration I went to video file and had to select all files to see the saved WMA files. When I attempted to open the file I received the error message "Movie Maker doesn't support the selected file type".  Can someone help me? Thanks!

I wanted to edit a video I made with my mini DV camcorder which records to tape. I uploaded the video from the camcorder into movie maker on my PC and made the changes and now I want to send it back to the tape on the camcorder but cannot figure out how to do it. My camcorder connects to the PC by firewire and is capable of both DV IN & OUT. Can anyone help please?

I have been using movie maker for about 8 months now and suddenly when I go to open it the error message: 'the directory name Is invalid.' comes up and automatically closes movie maker. Someone help!!!
This is really ridiculous, between my husband and I we have lost nearly 2 days of our lives because once a movie is created in Movie Maker and saved there is only audio and a Black Screen in the playback.

This is not a codec issue, it is not a driver issue, it is not the source files and it is not the version of movie maker causing this problem, I know because I have run through all the troubleshooting that has been mentioned in this forum and others for the past several years.

It should be simple, and Microsoft should know how to fix this, since there are so many instances of the issue. This did not happen previously when I have used this software, so there is a conflict that is somewhat recent.

Please help, I have already missed deadlines because what used to work, no longer does.

Thank you.

Joyce
Now after uninstalling windows reinstalling,  uninstalling and reinstalling movie maker it hasn't worked.  Here is the link to my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZvadKpfc8M  and at 9:45 it starts to act up.  Any ideas would be great.
Other note: I am running a HP pavilion g7 1320dx with amd accelerated a4 vision, windows 7 home premium.
My camcorder (brand new)  is a sony handycam HDR-CX230.  Sony or HP doesn't know whats causing it either.
Any help would be appreciated.
when I click the facebook logo to save and upload my video I made in movie maker it no longer works. There seem to be an issue with it but have been getting the same message for 3 weeks now.Service unavailable try later??

Hello, I am having issues with my audio/video from my in computer laptop.  I am trying to make short videos using the pre installed movie maker (I have a gateway laptop with windows 8, purchased in April 2013).  I can record the video I want using the camera and it seems fine.  when I put it into the movie maker program the sound slows down and becomes out of sync with the video.  This happens even if I don't make any changes to the video.  When the video section starts the sound is okay, but the longer it runs the more the sound becomes out of sync.  how can I fix this?
