Hello,

I was told to post my issue here for the Microsoft Support Moderators to address. I first brought up my problem to the Online Safety Team, but they referred me here to post my question. My issue is that I tried to log into my Skydrive account the other day but saw a warning that it was shut down due to a Microsoft Terms of Use violation.

To go back to the beginning, I recently changed phones. My original Nokia Lumia had a cracked screen, so I switched devices with my mother's Nokia Lumia phone. A Verizon Store employee swapped our SIM cards, and now my mobile number is hooked up to her physical phone, and vice versa. I had to reset her phone (that is now mine) to clear off her data in order to be able to download apps. I tried to log into Skydrive the other day to access my mobile pictures and that's when I saw my account was shut down.

Also, I don't know if this is related, but a second issue came up today when my camera stopped being able to save pictures that I took into my Camera Roll album. It wasn't until I restarted my phone that the pictures finally came up in Camera Roll, but when I tried to take photos again, they wouldn't save unless I restarted my phone a second time. Also, even when I look back at the photos in my Camera Roll, there's a solid bar that blocks out the bottom portion of the image. Is this issue possibly related to my SkyDrive account problem?

Please let me know how these issues can be resolved and thanks so much for your time & help.

I have spoken with three Microsoft customer service reps today.  The last one asked me to create this forum post and  suggested I ask for a private response.  Have  gotten a new Surface RT.  Am trying to TRUST this computer.  Have a trusted laptop which is currently in the shop and unavailable.  Went to PC settings, Users, and "Trust this PC" When I entered the account, I received a security message stating that I could access this in 30 days.  I need to access my Skydrive to save files before the 30 days are up.   Can you override this for me or tell me a stop-gap measure I may use until the waiting period is over?

Thank you.

Every time I try to sign in to my Hotmail account  or am forced to sign in after a few hours of inactivity (a new problem since Friday) I am told that I need a pin/code (also new since Friday) to protect me from  hackers.  I generate the pin by clicking next, pick it up from my office email enter the pin/code and it tells me it is the incorrect pin/code.  It also tells me that I have just a few days to straighten this out before I lose access to my account,  but when I go to the help area can find no article and of course there is no longer phone support for subscription service.  So I am kind of stuck with an addional factor of authentication (the pin) that I did not ask for, a clock that is at 3 days left for me to enter a correct pin and about a dozen incorrect Microsoft generated pins.  Anyone have a solution to this dilemma?  And why don't I get to generate the pin?

I have just noticed that I am missing the emails in my Inbox received ever since I created my account and up to 20-07-2013 (several years).

I don't know when they actually disappeared and they are not in any other folder.

I seriously need to get those emails back. I tried the option to recover deleted messages but it only returned one recent email.

Plus, something else strange happened:
1. At 20:31 (6th of August) I received an email from Microsoft welcoming me to the new Inbox folder of Outlook.com.
2. Right after that one, still at 20:31, I received a "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" email from postmaster@... regarding an email that I didn't send myself.
3. After that, my android email client configured with my hotmail account notified me it stopped receiving emails because the password of my account had been changed (again, not by myself).
4. I realized this only after a few minutes after which I immediately changed my password (Outlook.com was able to detect that my account had been compromised and prompted me to it after confirming my identity)
5. After logging in with my new password I realized I had received several dozens more of those "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" emails (each an attempt of emailing a different subgroup from my contact list).
6. At the same time I realized also that I was missing all my emails prior to 20-07-2013.

I need support: how can I recover my emails?
Whenever I try to close my  account it tells me "You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account."

I don't have any subscriptions but I do have a few points left on the account, but no matter where I look I can't find a way to cancel the points! Does anyone know the solution?

Thanks!
I put my email and password in when it asks and then it comes up Microsoft account error 8015d02e. I'm assuming its locked and all I wanna do is watch trailer park boys on Netflix. Someone help me out

Hi there,

This is Raees Iqbal, and I have a problem with renaming my account primary alias. I've actually bought this domain 'steelbrain.com.pk' for my company and I'm using this domain name to host our company's personal email addresses with Microsoft Outlook.com , by updating mx records for the domain. I'm using Windows 8 Enterprise Edition with a ymail.com's email address for my Microsoft profile, but now when I've bought this domain and have setup email accounts also, I want to change my Microsoft primary account alias to another email address with steelbrain.com.pk domain name. But when in https://account.live.com -> Overview -> Account aliases -> 'Alias' (section below my previous ymail.com email address) -> Rename -> Yes rename my primary alias -> Use an existing email address as your primary alias,  I type my new email address with steelbrain.com.pk domain (hosted on Outlook.com) and click 'Rename my primary alias, I'm getting this error "You can't use @steelbrain.com.pk in your Microsoft account email address. Please try a different email address." with no explanation at all. Now, I would like someone to explain me the problem with it. Help will be appreciated and thanks for reading.

Regards,

Raees Iqbal
