Similar to a post someone encountered last year, I have a single contact (my best friend) who doesn't appear to show up in either the Outlook.com website or the Windows 8.1 People app.  All other contacts appear correctly, and this specific missing contact appears on my Lumia 925 correctly.  I've re-linked my Facebook account, which had no effect.

I've reached out to this individual to see if perhaps he somehow "blocked" the Microsoft app in his FB settings (I noticed that "Windows Phone" is, in fact, a separate app)  Is there any diagnostic method available to an end user to determine the specific results of the API calls that Microsoft is making on their behalf that could identify if it is in fact Facebook not returning the data?

I had to go to outlook.com when Microsoft closed WebTV.  We were told that we could still send and receive emails if we made a new alias.  I made an outlook address the primary.  The WebTV address can still send but it can't receive emails.  I checked the settings and they are set for sending and receiving emails.  People are getting back anything they send to my WebTV address as undeliverable.  Outlook even sent me an email stating that I could still send and receive mail to the old address.  I would appreciate some kind of solution.  Thanks.
My main email a./c is at hotmail.
I understand Microsoft is moving to a cloud based system known as outlook.com

It is not clear to me what I'm supposed to do. Am I to create a new a/c in outlook.com?
Do I need to inform my contacts to change my email address from hotmail?
Can anyone direct me to a clear page of instructions please.

thank you
Trying to limit so many ads I tried to upgrade settings.  I accidently changed my date of birth in my personal info to 2013 instead of my real date of birth for my account I've had for many years.  I was blocked and had to invent another account, pay 50 cents for Hotmail/Microsoft to check that I (in my "parent's account") am an adult.  I am now back into my own account with my "parent's permission".  I cannot go in a change my date of birth to get rid of the parental permission issue.  What can I do?
I too cannot receive any emails - not even junk.  Called microsoft and they were no help.  I have tried suggestions offered by community and like others - my settings were all correct.  Am losing patience after spending nearly an hour on phone with microsoft and being switched to 3 different departments - to finally be told they can't help me but to try support.microsoft.com  So I tried that and can't get live chat and have ended up here - Please help
so no more Skydrive integration on Windows 8.1 unless one login with a Microsoft account??? Really???  this must be the stupidest decision ever.... how people that work in an office where user names are governed by a domain server, or people that has being using Skydrive since day one like me using local accounts are going to keep using it? I need to keep my current user name and password so I can keep connecting with the rest of the machines in my home and my office, I do not want to have to redo all my network because you want me to login with your account... you just made Skydrive unusable for a lot of people like me....  I'm going to kill my subscription as soon as I find a replacement, which by the way, are many and they do not force you to use weird logins....   I'm really tired of Microsoft doing these stupid things...

Thanks for complicating things without a reason....
Can anyone help I seem to have hit a perfect storm. Just as my Skydrive storage came up for renewal my bank discovered attempted fraud on my credit card cancelled my existing credit cards and issued me with new cards. As a result my renewal charge failed. I received an email from Microsoft informing me and asking me to provide valid card details. I attempted to do this but I have just changed employer and used my old work email for my account security. I have to change email this now, which I can do but as a security measure Microsoft will not let change this email until the middle of next month. As a result I cannot change my credit card details. This date is long after my Skydrive renewal charge is due. Is there anyway that I can ensure I do not lose data on my Skydrive until this is resolved? There seems to be no way to contact Microsoft directly to resolve this.
