i have an email id on hotmail previously i used it but from last 4-5 years i m not using that account <removed by moderator>because i have a new id <removed by moderator> but now someone is misusing my account <removed by moderator> he changed the passward of that account and security question too so i m un able to close my account i want to close my account quickly please i f u gave me the passward of my account i can close it othewise please u close my account of <removed by moderator>.

How can I recognize an email from "Microsoft" as being valid?
In my Hotmail inbox listing an email from "Microsoft Account Team" is preceded with an icon of a green shield containing a check mark. Is this supposed to be an official MS symbol or validation stamp?

This particular email subject is "Microsoft Account Security Confirmation", sender IP is 207.46.200.11; smtp.mailfrom=*** Email address is removed for privacy *** It does not ask me to provide personal info, however, a link is provided to a website to change my password and restore account security information. The catch is that the email acct. cited to be removed isn't mine but is one very similar in name. Is it possible this email is official but that the MS Acct. Team has been "set up" by a phisher?

I am trying to delete my account and I'm in a doom loop where the hotmail cancel says:

Close your Microsoft account

To close *****@msn.com

You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account.
You need to deactivate your Hotmail account. Once you've done that, your Microsoft account will be closed automatically after a period of inactivity.

and when I go to the "cancel" link there are no paid services. (a cancelled Verizon DSL subscription)

WHO CAN I CONTACT TO HELP ME?!

Please help me deactivate my hotmail account. My e-mail account is free – there are no billing accounts linked to it. It's just for personal use. There are no social media accounts linked to this e-mail either - it's literally just a hotmail account that I want completely deactivated. Here is what I tried… Through my hotmail account, I clicked on "account" and I then clicked "close account". I typed in my password to verify, and then it says "You need to deactivate your Hotmail account. Once you've done that, your Microsoft account will be closed automatically after a period of inactivity." So I clicked on "deactivate your hotmail account" and then it says "To close your Hotmail account, you must first cancel your billing service. Go to Microsoft Account and Billing Services at https://billing.microsoft.com." But I don't have any billing services - this is a free account. So it basically just keeps taking me on a loop. Please completely deactivate my hotmail account. I’ve tried webchatting with a rep and talking to a rep on the phone – I just want the account deactivated. Thank you.

All my emails received from Microsoft Account are in Chinese yet all other emails aren’t

When i receive emails from Microsoft Account the language there are sent in Chinese i have checked the settings and my languages all say english and its just the microsoft emails that are sent in Chinese, any help on changing it?

When I try to sign into my Hotmail/Outlook account , the Microsoft account main screen comes up, then I have to go to "Email and Communication," "..My hotmail account is blocked..."", then the Hotmail label finally appears on the Right hand side of the screen , clicking on that will finally get me into the account.
