Recently all websites became infested with ad popups and rogue "off" sites

Google became unusable.

Why does Windows Essentials Malware Management fail to catch these?

Malwarebytes did, found over 100 "badguys to delete" and did so.

PC seems back to normal now

Windows essential quarantine folder was empty. Nothing caught prior to Malwarebytes

I have windows 7 64. I am using Microsoft Security Essentials.

And Malwarebytes was added about a month ago.

But since I loaded windows live mail into this new system back in May 2013... I can only email out on the default email account.

The four other email accounts can't send out mail.

ATT gave me their webpage help...but was no help.

Where do you think my problem is?

I have checked it all with a fine tooth comb.

All email properties settings seem correct.

We found our HOTMAIL address blocked after returning from overseas in May 2012. I googled HOTMAIL and found a contact number which I rang I spoke to someone from MCHELPER and gave them remote access after paying them $399.98 for an incidence support plan- Annual unlimited(#plan 004)  ORDER NO 3472. Our email address was then unblocked.

On the 2/11/2012 we were contact by someone supposedly from PCMIGHT referring to our contact to HOTMAIL back in June. We thought this was genuine as they referred to previous June contact. After much conversation He convinced us to purchase a MALWAREBYTES virus protection Annual U unlimited Incidence Support Plan – 5 years for $249.99 ORDER NO 183.  We had remote access from LOGMEIN Rescue. And once again gave the access to our computer.

On the 2/1/2013 we were contacted by a Shane Navarro supposedly from HOTMAIL advising us that our HOTMAIL address has been used fraudently, He said we were not a premiums customer of HOTMAIL and to ensure that we were, we would have to register and pay $200.00.  Once we paid the $200.00 then they would reimburse us the original $399.98 paid back in June by a 3 party and they would send us a contract within 2 days. He referred that the MALWAREBYTES protection purchased back in Nov 2012 from PC Might was from a scammer and that LOGMEIN Rescue was not legitimate. We were convinced because he had remote access and showed us the PCMight when googled the website did not exist.  He gave us his supposedly email address shane @hotmail.com Employee No 23768 GTK and contact number
+ 1 91746000065.  It took him more than 2 hours to convince us, however once again we paid the money and gave them access.

On the 3/1/13 When I logged in we found another virus program called Microsoft security essentials. I did a full computer scan from our AVG 2013 and found nothing also did a quick scan of MALWAREBYTES and found nothing.

Yesterday 4/1/13  I tried contacting our bank to see if the money was there, and it was not , there was no email with the contract, so we tried the email address give which surprise surprise did not exist and also tried ringing the numb er which did not answer. When I went into MALWAREBYTES it said it was 8 days out of date even though we did a scan the previous day.

I googled PCMIGHT today and found your home page.  And tried to contact then by their email address however when trying to submit the email it said the URL did not exist. As you can appreciate we are now totally confused who is genuine and feel that we have given away our identity on three occasions  and have lost $950.00 in the process. I can assure you we won’t be that nieve  ever again .  Are you able to assure us if the program MALWAREBYTES purchased back in Nov 2012 was the genuine product from PCMIGHT and now the Microsoft Security Essentials now on our Computer purchased on 02/1/2013 is also genuine  We have had our email address from HOTMAIL for more than 10 years and have had no problems until we returned from overseas in June 2012. We have since changed our passwords on our bank accounts and email address Kevin
