Cannot add POP/IMAP account to Outlook - but Exchange works fine. Seem to be missing the window to enter POP/IMAP login info.

This is a new installation of Office 2011 on OS X 10.8.

I've used the same installation of Office 2011on OS X 10.6.8 and it worked perfectly. It's not a login issue. I can send and receive mail on that system no problem.

The symptoms are: I can add an Exchange account and it works fine. A window appears for me to enter information.

However when I try to select the "E-mail" account type (i.e. POP/IMAP). No window appears. The buttons on the Accounts window change as if there is a modal dialog open. Hitting escape re-enables the minimize, maximize, and close buttons.

03 No window visible (problem - note condition of window buttons. but there's no place to enter POP/IMAP login info)

Tonight I completely removed Office 2011 following the instructions here (as suggested at the Genius bar). Then I completely reinstalled. Same issue as before. I can add Exchange accounts all day long, but no window appears when trying to add POP/IMAP accounts.

"password no longer enough" message page when signing into hot mail

every time I sing into hot mail I get a pop up page which states "password no longer enough" it asks for additional info that I know does not come from Microsoft as they would not ask for this into....problem is can't bypass page unless click save (I don't enter any of the requires page info though) but this is very frustrating . All so my contacts screen changed right around same time so was this Microsoft or am I HACKED!!! Did all the normal things delt cookies, history, ect, deep scan, ccleaner what else can I do??????????

I have been contacted by a Susan Caplan who says she is VP corporate communications Hotmail INC informing me i have won an ipad and tells me to click a link to claim the prize.I have not done this as i am suspicuious about the authenticity of this email.Does anybody know if this is genuine or a scam?

How can I get Outlook to notify me when I have messages in a folder that exchange has placed mail in that isn’t my inbox?

I use rule to seperate out my email messages, some of these are server side, some are outlook, but if I have a message moved to a folder when it arrives I don't receive an alert. I have just switched from Windows and this is not how that runs in MS Office for windows.

I have been using Windows live mail happily for about three years. But about two months ago I saved an incoming email to a sub-folder, and then discovered that that e-mail had over-written all the other emails in that sub-folder. I thought it was just a glitch, but now it's happened in a couple of other sub-folders. I have full Norton anti-virus software, and that hasn't identified any bugs. Any suggestions?

Authentication methods?

When I try to use Outlook receive mail or send this message comes up: Authentication failed because Outlook doesn't support any of the available authentication methods. That floors me! Is there a workaround for this?

Mi cuenta fué bloqueada por supuesta denuncia de que salía Spam de ella, mi problema es que no puedo acceder a ella, ya que al intentar hacerlo el sistema me lleva a una página en la que me avisan que ya enviaron una clave a mi correo alternativo, el problema es que ese correo lo dejé de utilizar cuando me di de alta en Hotmail, ya tiene más de10 años, y no puedo acceder a él, ya ni me acuerdo cual era su nombre y mucho menos la clave para ingresar.

No sé si haya otro metodo para recuperar mi mail, ya que es el personal y en él tengo a todos mis contactos.
