TL;DR

trying to "Invite to Messenger" from people.outlook.com

i get:

This page is temporarily unavailable
We're sorry, there was a problem showing this page. We experienced some technical difficulties retrieving the content.

on IE10/11 and firefox.

on same PC with a different MS account i can send the invitation just fine.

Also if i send the invitation to my account i never receive it.

this had been going on since March.

today i was able to receive an invitation.

/shrug.
I have Outlook 2011 and some people send me calendar invitations from iCloud.

Outlook becomes unresponsive and takes a long time to process the invitation, mostly it pauses very annoyingly.

It also stays on the invitation when I click to another email in my inbox ie I select another email and the conternts chnage but the header information stays the same - this cant be right as Outlook freezes and most of the time I have to quit and relaunch Outlook.

I have rebuilt my database, and I have even removed the Microsoft User Data folder and had it start fresh, with out any luck.

Im on 10.8.5, Outlook 14.3.9
Hi

I have a web page where users log in and creates invitations and guestlists. The invitation is sent to the guest email address and its here the problem starts. When I from code(c#) send email from my page to @hotmail and @outlook addresses they eighter don't get delivered or ends up in the receivers junk folder. I have checked with my web host and the mail gets sent correct from their mail server so the problem must be when it reaches microsofts mail server.

Can someone advice on what the fault is?

Regards
David

Hello everyone.

I would really appreciate some advice from someone who knows more about all this than I do.

I work on an iMac and also have the other Apple products (Macbook Air, iPad 2 and iPhone 4s).

Until recently I have been using iCal for my calendar and it synchronises well between these devices. The problem is that iCal invitations are not always recognised by other people's Outlook calendars. It is important to me that I am able to send calendar invitations so I am looking for an alternative calendar system.

I am thinking of using Outlook for Mac 2011 because I can send calendar invitations from that system using my normal email address (a web based email account that contains the domain name of my business) which keeps things nice and simple for my clients. Previously I had sent calendar invitations  from iCal using gmail which also updated across devices  but was confusing for people because then they sent emails to my gmail account which I don't want them to do. Outlook allows me to send calendar invitations from my normal business email account.

I work for various companies and sometimes need to send calendar invitations from other email accounts too - the type of these vary: some Exchange/POP/IMAP. So I cannot just set up my own exchange system. I need something that will accommodate a variety of accounts and critically, update all my devices. It would be wonderful if it could provide an online platform to do all this as well - so that I can create and see all my appointments on all my devices and also online.

So my big question is this: is there a solution that will help. I'm guessing that there might be but I have no idea.
exactly as in the title. a month ago or so, gmail friends stopped receiving my invitations to events set up in the calendar (web interface).
however they do receive cancellation.

i know you're at war with ggl, but come on... outlook.com became a never-ending beta experience for me. on every front.
My outlook.com calendar is able to send event invitations to my girlfriend's outlook.com calendar and to my gmail account. However, my outlook calendar is unable to receive calendar invitations from my girlfriend's outlook.com calendar or from my gmail account.
I do not have the option to accept or decline calendar invitations in microsoft outlook 2010.  The invitations show up as information only with no response required.
They show up on my iphone despite all invitations going to the junk folder of my outlook account. Do these people have access to my calendar and my reminders as well?
My manager wants me to fill out his calendar, but he doesn't want to have to accept all the invitation emails.  If I don't send the invite, they do not appear on his calendar though!  Is there a way to add appointments to his calendar without having to send invitations?
Thank you,
Abigail
