Hi All,

My inbox automatically deletes messages once they get a certain age old? I am also missing my sent items prior to 2009?

This has occurred since the switch to outlook from Hotmail.

Previously my messages would stay in my inbox indefinitely until they were deleted. Now this is not the case? Can you please advise how I can return to this setting and recover all my sent emails on my Hotmail account.

Many thanks,

Not sure where else to go so I'm asking here in the hope somebody can help me. Basically none of the options along the top of my inbox work, which means I can't send any e-mails from my account. When I'm in my inbox and click them nothing happens, and if I'm on any other page I just get returned to my inbox. I need to send a couple of potentially important e-mails so it's really annoying me that I can't get into compose a new message. I really don't know how to fix it so if anybody knows why this is happening and can offer me a solution I would be most grateful.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Whenever I send an email it shows up in my inbox, how do I turn it off? I've read other threads that say to make sure your conversations aren't grouped, which they aren't!
After logging into my Hotmail account, my inbox only has 39 messages--I had previously had hundreds of old messages, many important, that I have been saving in my inbox. How can I recover these??
Hello!

My e-mails, all but one, is missing form my inbox. This applies to all e-mails in my inbox, even those I got this morning.
This also only applies to my main account that I use on a daily basis (I have others and those inboxes are alright, at least for now).

I noticed it around 1500-1600 hours today. Up until that moment it worked like a charm.
I've also checked my other folders I've set up in this account, and they seem to be alright for the moment.

It doesn't matter which browser I use.
I got a suggestion to clear cookies and cache from Microsoft Twitter Help @MicrosoftHelps, which I did on all browsers but to no avail.

Please help.

Using Outlook ver 14.3.8 (130913) and OS 10.6.8

I have 3 mail accounts that are in my drop down menu of inbox but after pressing Send/Receive all the subfolders disappear and I am left with one inbox that is my gmail account.

The other 2 accounts are exchange accounts - Another co-worker has a similar setup but is not experiencing this issue.

Has anyone had this issue and if so, solution??
I switched to Outlook 2013 last week and transferred all my email over so I know it was there.  It looks like Outlook has  been deleting my inbox emails since all I have left are the current days emails that I keep.  I have nothing in my inbox that I have saved from previous dates/ years so where did all my emails go?? Is this set to purge everyday?  Please help!
Since the move to outlook, I can only see the emails in the first page of my inbox. If I want to see any emails that are on page 2 onwards of my inbox I need to search for them (so the emails are not lost but I cannot easily see them). How can I restore them? Thanks!
