Since changing to Outlook, my messages in my inbox folder are being automatically deleted from the inbox folder and I dont know where they have gone.  My latest email is from 10/07/2013.  How can I retrieve the emails that I can not find? And how can I change this setting?

Thank you
Hello,
I was trying to clean up my email. First I used the windows live to export all of my folders to a system directory I have for installing and maintenance purposes. I started the process and came back later and it said everything was exported. So I went to the folder I had specified and then to the inbox folder. It had only  exported 4200 out of 34000 files. It had named them some coded name with an eml extension. I checked dates created and noticed that it only created 4 out of 20 for a certain day (Jan 2,2013). It did not included files with attachments. So my question is:

1) why does it only back a portion of the emails in inbox ?
2) why does it not backup  attachements ?

Hello , i have Office 2011 for my Mac  and i have import my PST file  to outlook 2011 . now Outlook 2011 has two inbox folder and two sent folder (one default and other one is created while importing the PST ) . My Question is that how can we configure for all incoming mails to go to imported Inbox folder(second one ) and all sent mails copy should copy to imported sent folder.

Denise T attempted to answer this question and I couldn't figure out how to tell her that she misunderstood my problem.  So I'm starting anew.

About 1 1/2 months ago, MS forced me into Outlook.  I didn't like it at all and I was able to find a box to click under OPTIONS that was suppose to restore my original Hotmail.  Well, it did and didn't.  One of the most frustrating persistent changes has initiated this question.  When I open a INBOX email, click the reply option, and then send that reply, I now find that that reply is now permanently part of the original email that remains stored in the INBOXThis is a HUGH problem because, if I choose to send another reply to the same stored email in the INBOX, because my first reply is now part of that original email there, the second reply address is now MY address, not the original sender of the email.  In addition, it is impossible to delete that first reply message from the stored original email in the INBOX.. Under the old Hotmail format, a reply was not stored in the INBOX with the original email.  Rather, it was shown as part of the sent email in the SENT folder.  Now, that reply can be found in both the INBOX with the original email and in the SENT folder.

I want the INBOX folder to disply the original, unadulterated email that was received.  The SENT folder is the place for displaying sent/replied emails from ME

How do I make this happen?

Thanks

I have a large number of sub-folders within the Inbox of my 'outlook.com' account in WLM (Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3555.0308)), in the Folders pane.

Is there a way to add a shortcut link - to the 'root' Inbox folder - to the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) or somewhere else that is not dependent upon which Tab I have selected (Home, Folders, View, Accounts) in WLM, so that I do not have to keep scrolling up & down the Folder list pane? I know I can 'collapse' the (sub)Folder list, but a shortcut to the Inbox would be much more useful.

If this is not currently possible, can anyone provide a link to suggest future features for WLM?

Hi

I have moved from Microsoft Office Outlook for PC to Outlook 2011 for Mac. However after importing the pst file, and adding an email account (IMAP) all my new mail is appearing in another inbox folder.

I can still see my mail from my pst file (from outlook windows) under the heading 'On my computer', however I don't like the fact of having all my new mail in another section.
Please note that I am only using one email account.

Please help.

Is it possible to have my mail continue to add to my pst file, so I only have one set of inbox folders?

Thanks in advance
